Review summary

It was great to get back to cruising. We missed 3 years waiting for them to drop mandates. My teenagers loved it and were so excited to get back to it. We have three cruises booked for Carnival. I hope Carnival never does away with the dream class ships. The ships are our favorite. It felt like a completely normal cruise. It's exactly what we wanted!

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We mostly ate on the lido deck and in the dining room. We did not eat at any specialty dining facilities.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Would like to do the games like trivia and bingo.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I didn't really enjoy all of the shows. Some of them were okay though.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff is always great and very friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Although it's getting older it is in really great shape. We have two more cruises planned on this ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was a balcony cabin so that part is nice. Like most cruise ship cabins they are small especially for four people.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
We walked around the city. It was Thanksgiving Day when we ported so not a lot of things were open.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
We walked around the city and shopped.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

We just went out and shopped no excursions
