Review summary

What an amazing first cruise experience! The ship was phenomenal. Most stress-free vacation that we've had for years! Highly recommend that you get there about 2 hours ahead of your boarding time to allow for parking and the shuttle. Once we got to the terminal our luggage was whisked away. However, embarkation was pretty long as they were checking all of the vaccinations and covid test results as well as passports, so highly recommend travelling with snacks and water. Once we got onboard all of our concerns melted away. Our room host, Frank, greeted us and ensure that we were well taken care of. Using the Carnival Hub App, we always knew what was going on and even helped us created a planner for each day, not to mention helped us dine around times that were convenient to us. All of entertainment and activity options were impressive and our days were totally relaxing yet exciting at the same time. The "express debarkation" option probably could have been better. In hindsight, better off planning a late debarkation and had the crew take care of our luggage, rather than trying to carry our baggage ourselves down the stairs (most of the elevators were taken out of service on the morning of departure).

Very long. Be sure to have water and snacks packed.

Great selection overall. The Steak House was well worth it. Very disappointed with the Seafood Shack.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size far exceeded our expectations. The ship's crew (Frank) ensured that our cabin was impeccably clean and stocked.

Ship tip

The picture packages can be pricey. Opt for the "Dreams" photo shoot and bypass the backdrop shoots. It's a night and day comparison between the two.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Not enough time to really explore, especially seeing that we arrived when things were shutting down.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Great tour. Beautiful beach stop. Could have stopped there longer instead of the first market stop.

Disembarkation

Worst part of the whole trip. Getting off took far longer than expected.
