Review summary

Overall good value and convenient. We're from Norfolk. Our first time sailing from Norfolk. Very low price for two (balcony). Service was substandard / slower compared to other more expensive cruises.

Somewhat long boarding process. Need more XRay machines to scan bags.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Ship was understaffed causing long food lines. Food at Pig and Anchor was poor. Lido Buffet lines closed at 10PM. Only available food after 10PM was pizza - again, long lines. Mongolian Wok was good tasting, but again, long lines. Dormal Dining Room (Deck 3) very good food. Service a little slow due to understaffing.

Onboard Activities

Fitness center good equipment.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment average. No Broadway shows. Singing group good - Chris (singer) was GREAT! Comedians average.

Service and Staff

Room Attendant good. However, room only made up once a day. Again, understaffed.

Ship, equipment, amenities in good condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was in good working order. Had to have TV rebooted twice to access channels, but worked after that.

Ship tip

Patience for embarkation/debarkation. Shuttle service from designated parking lot was very slow. Be prepared for long food lines/uderstaffed service.

Thank you for your review. We will be on the Magic in 74 days. I hope improves some by then but not overly optimistic but hopefully optimistic.
