Review summary

I'd rate it at about 80% - mainly because the food and entertainment has worsened. Also the extensive rust on our balcony was a big turn-off.

The food quality was not up to par with our prior 4 Carnival cruises. Our favorite drink, Pirate's Punch, was unavailable because they ran out of almond liquor ship-wide.

The singers in the show routines sang out of tune, and the violin trio in the lobby also played out of tune. I played and sang professionally for over 14 years. Playing and singing in tune was always one of our main priorities.

For the first time in our Carnival experience we encountered a few disgruntled ship personnel who ignored our "good morning" and "good evenng."

We were on Magic in November 2021, we were suppose to stop at 3 ports, Bimini wasn’t open. Couldn’t tender into Half Moon Cay it was to rough. We did dock at Amber Cove,it was just OK. The ship was old, food wasn’t enjoyable, entertainment was not that good. Will not do that ship or itinerary again.

Sad to hear that the Magic might be getting worse, although pre-Covid I noted less than stellar rust control around the outside (bad habit from when we had to stay on it or get reamed by the XO).
