Was not pleased with the $50 pp on Board credit we received as "compensation" for waiting 3.5 hours in the sun with only water distrubuted. There were no bathrooms, and Annie the port agent told my daughter in law our granddaughter should just "pee on the ground". She did not do that but ultimately had an accident. Because we did not get our luggage until 8pm, her clothers had to be rinsed out so she could do to dinner.
Embarkation

AWFUL. Waited 3 1/2 hours to check in at apoointed time, in the sun with no food with 3 grandchildren.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food in the main dining room went downhill from our experience on the same ship in Nov. , except for breakfast. The Guy's Burger place was very good. Avoided the buffet due to crowds. The pancakes at the Dr. Suess breakfast looked great but were not edible.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The activities on the ship are geared to provide a great experience for kids. Our grandchildren loved the water slide, kids camp, and the Dr.Suess breakfast. Happy to see they replaced the broken games in the game room with all new games. Adult entertainment in poor and definitely not up to par with competitors.

Service and Staff

The waitess we had in the dining room was great, but the food never came at the same time. I do commend Michael one of the guys working in the aft pool. I was distressed that you had to go to the main pool to get towels and he overheard me and went to get me towels. Room Steward did ask if we wanted anything extra and followed tgrough on providing additional pillows.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Improved over our Nov. cruise, except many of the hand sanitizer containers, including in the kids Camp area were empty.
Cabin / Stateroom

Please to have 2 bathrooms and there was plenty of space for clothes. I have always has a balcony but got an oceanview this time so I could be near the grandkids. It was just fine and our bed was ver comfortable.
Ship tip
This is a blast for kids. However if you are cruising as a couple I would not recommend this ship.
We visited the Turtle Farm with the grandkids. We had done the same tour a few years ago as a couple. I feeel the facility and the Tour we received has gone downhill. There were 100+ people with 1 guide who arrived 15 min late. Not work the money carnival charged.
We did a swim with the Dolphins. This was the best part of the trip. The facility is amazing, in great shape and the guides took time and were very informative. Spend 30 min + with the dolphins. The kids loved it.
Have visited Cozemel mant time. We chose NOT to do a tour with Carnival, We paid $39 for Adult and $34 for 1 child (2 free) to go to a rest with a pool and beach we could walk to. Plus we got credit for having lunch on site. The kids had teir own area to swim, howver it was very rocky, so water shoes are needed.
