Overall enjoyed the cruise except the last day when we were limited. Felt like we should have been told this would be happening in advance. Everyone wanted their last night on the ship to be on Lido deck, watching movies, kids on the slides and pools, but that was not available for us. We pretty much ended up going to bed early because there was nothing else to do.

Dining for us was the Northern Lights Dining room. Loved the wait staff, Gusi, Sommia, and Wiguna. They were all very attentive and amazing. Gusi danced with my grandson, Sommia cut his steak and fed him, and Wiguna sang the song on the last day. Between these wonderful people and our room steward, Jose, our trip was great and we will definitely return.
Onboard Activities

The kids wanted to do the ropes course but it was hardly open due to the wind. We were limited on activities due to our assigned dining time of 8:15. Not many shows to sees before then and they are mostly over by the time we finished. Also, the big disappointment was the last night of our cruise when the Lido deck pool and slides were shut down at six pm. They didn't have the onscreen movies, the kids couldn't swim or use the water slides because of the staff setting up a stage for the next cruise. It was also difficult to get thru the area to get to the dining rooms. Our family enjoyed the movies at night and the best time for my children to use the water slide was evenings and all were upset.
Entertainment

We didn't get to see alot of the shows because of our assigned dining time. I did, however, love Black Diamonds (Violinist) and thoroughly enjoyed their music and their energy.

Grandson would not stay in the kids club, but that is not unusual. As i said before, on the last night my childrens entertainment was non-existent due to the building of the stage for the next cruise.
Service and Staff

Our room steward was amazing, Jose. Our waitstaff, Gusi, Wiguna, and Sommia were the best! Also Rhiana was great with the kids. All remembered us by name and what our favorites were. They are the main reason I will cruise the Magic again.

Really enjoyed the balcony, the room was a good size. My son did say that the bed/couch he was on was hard but other than that, everything was great. Jose even provided a power strip for my husbands cpap machine.
Ship tip
Get the early dining time, enjoy the brunch in the Southern Lights Dining room on at sea days, and learn the layout (some floors are split and you can get access from one elevator but not another).
Border patrol had us tied up waiting forever to debark. They only had three agents working our entire ship while everyone was crowded in the hallways trying to get off. We couldn't even wait for the lines to diminish on the deck because of the stage set up for the next cruise.
After 60 cruises on carnival I have never seen the lido deck entertainment all shut down early , must have been a reason , they will usually clean it and what not all during the night
