Review summary

This cruise ship smelled of marijuana in the cabin areas / common halls many times. Could not enjoy the balcony on many occasions due to this. The ports were nice, but expensive and still recovering from hurricane damage . Not a good variety of food offerings - food often lacked flavor and the lines were long. Had a very rude Pizza staff person. A couple of medical emergencies. The amount of violin playing in the lobby was insane - reminded me of the titanic. Did not feel the "fun" on this ship. Not that the cruise was terrible - it just was not my favorite.

You were most likely smelling sulphur dioxide from the ship engines.

Really i just got back on sunday from the magic nov.4 the cruise was amazing. Why do always people complaint so much. The violin was amazing and the food was Amazing there is more than 3000 people on the ship is very very hard to please everyone. Stop complaining sooo much is a vacation enjoy.

You could smell weed all the way down the hall on deck 8 where we stayed. Out on the balcony was no different. You could see smoking coming from other balconys on lower floors. Yes they said it's illegal, but no one seemed to enforce the law.

I maybe wrong but I would assume going through customs with weed is illegal I wouldn't take the chance

Lets be honest, the only way you would smell weed on your balcony is if you or someone on the balcony right next to you were smoking it! There is no smoking on the ship. So if you thought someone was, why didn't you report it?

Yet another comment on weed smoking. Seems a lot of yanks smoke this stuff while cruising and the staff turns a blind eye. Maybe it helps with sea sickness

Destinations made it Magic

Our best family trip yet

I had a wondeerful vacation on the Carnival Majic outside of everytime I sit on my balcony or walked out of my state room I was smacked in the face with the horrible smell of marjuana. Yes, my nieghbors were smoking it seemed hourly.
