Review summary

Many things have changed over the years the worst of which is people coming into the dining room in shorts and cut off t-shirts. Spoke to the Maitre D' and he said that there was nothing they could do. No more suit jackets and ties for me, shorts and flip flops only.

It’s a vacation, stop with the ties

I love dressing nicely every night when going to the Mdr. My last cruise ppl had flip flop and t shirts. I would always wear a pretty dress and pretty sandals not flip flops. I miss the table cloths too. Now it’s just an average restaurant to me 😒

You don’t have to dress up every night. Nice casual is not difficult and if you don’t like it , go to the buffet.

When I first cruised ppl wore tuxedos. Ccl use to rent them out if u needed one or a jacket for cruise elegant (was formal night). Dress code never bothered me until I looked up and saw someones briefs due to their pants hanging.

So let’s ditch the dress code. Why should those that want to be comfortable have to eat at the buffet. We paid for the cruise just like everyone else. Probably paid more because I enjoy my balcony

The dining experience, particularly on elegant nights are something I look forward to. Seeing my husband dressed for dinner is something that I don't get to enjoy when we go to our usual chain restaurants. It's all part of the whole ambience of the ship. There is a dress code and it should be observed. If you don't want to, the buffet is completely casual.

You are not required to dress up on elegant night either.

Only on elegant nights are you required to dress up. Other nights you can wear whatever you choose.

Wow... You don't have to dress up every night. Just dress nice, or go to lido. People like to show a little class, and enjoy a lobster night in the dining room. Just respect the people that do the right thing

Sorry—all my shoes are sandals and open toed

If you don't want to dress, eat at the buffet or cruise on NCL.

Also allows for a lighter suitcase however I think dress shorts and closed shoes! Some respect for a dining room otherwise eat buffet style!

Agree 100%. I have to deal with stuffed shirts daily don’t want to when I am on vacation. What is wrong with shorts and flip flops. I am not eating with my feet

It's vacation you shouldn't have to dress up every night for dinner.
