Review summary

We had people beside us that smoked marijuana and played loud rap music on their balcony constantly. This made it very difficult for us to enjoy our stateroom and or balcony. We did not complain due to the fact we were afraid it would cause even more problems, the last thing we wanted was to have people mad at us and things to escalate and create an even worse experience. After returning from the cruise we called carnival, they said we should have cmplained, I suppose they don't understand what things are like this day and age and what people are capible of. So, they said that "no one else filed a complaint," "so we will give you an onboard credit of $50.00 for your next carnival cruise." This was our third cruise, we are not looking for a handout or freebie, but come on carnival, you can do much better that that. I promise you this, we will not be taking anther carnival cruise again.

You are FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! It Would have made no difference if you made a complaint because I did!!!!! I made MANY COMPLAINTS FROM MY # 4 sail. I could show proff where there even arrested several at one port and then we’re back on the boat .For the rest of the sale then when I go to get off disembark they want me to sign my name on something and then I’ll call and make a complaint on it when I get back and they don’t hand me nothing which I don’t I wasn’t looking for a handout like you were saying but overall that cruise I do believe I was owed something it was horrible horrible and to this day they not even done nothing so on this cruise I just went on the same thing happened and I didn’t say nothing myself . until I just read yours it’s sad very very sad that you just have to deal with it because you have to deal with it !!! NO no no no CARNIVAL this is sad !!!!!!

Had same problem only it was country music didnt bother me one bit wouldn't allow them to smoke though never be afraid to speak your mind you paid to injoy your vacation just as anyone else.

You chose not to complain. Nothing they could do. At least you've learned a lesson. Next time, go to guest services.

The people next to you wouldn’t have known you made the complaint the report could have come from anyone that had a balcony near them. One phone call to guest services would have taken care of it and nothing would have happened to you. Your lucky they gave you the $50, how was Carnival suppose to know this happened after the fact. Don’t give up on Carnival, next time will be better and if not complain while enjoying your $50 onboard credit, that’s a couple of drinks.

I would have complained. I doubt if folks are stupid enough to do something that may land them an early trip back home. I had a smoker next to me one year who smoked like a chimney. I kindly asked him to stop and get did. If not, I was ready to report him. These type of things are unacceptable. Unfortunately there are folks on any and every cruise line who tend to break rules. Don't give up on Carnival.

Any other cruiseline wouldve told you the same thing im sure. They do have a jail in ship if people get crazy lol ive called security couple times when people were arguing. Security came and that was the end of it

Looking at this from both sides yes you should have let the front desk know the problems that you was having. So carnival could have a note on the matter and they could have moved them or upgrade your room. I have had the same thing happen to me and they upgrade me to another room that was better.

I hate that you had that experience but at the same time I'm not sure Carnival can be held accountable of they did not know and you didn't tell them during the cruise. What were you expecting them to do at this point, just curious...
