Review summary

I had a wonderful time with my sisters. It would have been an amazing time if it wasn’t for those Cloud 9 Spa crooks!

I pre-booked Cloud 9 Spa’s hand massage online for me and my sister as a treat for her. I paid in advance before the cruise because the spa had a 20% off deal. I paid $70.00 for the both of us. We decided when we were at the spa to get the shellac polish which is not included in the $70.00. The shellac polish was an additional $23.00. We were very happy with our manicures until we each received $80.00 bills from the manicurist. My sister gave her manicurist a $10.00 tip before she saw the $80.00 bill which also had a $10.50 gratuity charge. We explained to them that I already paid in advanced before the cruise online. They could not help us so we went to speak to the manager who said they charged us incorrect. Then she said that I didn’t pay the spa I paid Carnival who then releases the monies to the spa and then I would get my money back. I told her I was charged twice and my sister should not have been charged at all!!!! The woman tried to tell me that I miss understood the 20% off deal. Bottom line is that Cloud 9 Spa workers are deceitful and liars. They should be ashamed for what they practice on trusting. It was our first time ever in a spa and we were very excited about our exotic hand massage and manicures. We didn’t even get manicures before the cruise as we were looking forward to this. Never again will I ever trust or get any type of massages with Carnival Cruises Spa. Fellow cruisers be very careful with these people. If you want massages book in person so you can’t be cheated.

Yes I agree on them being crooks , my sister and I had a 50 dollar off coupon for the spa so we asked what the cost would be for a mani pedicure and was told it woulb be 20 more dollars making it a total of 70 dollars. We ended up paying 150 with the added gratuity and tips also never was told that the fire and ice was more money cloud 9 Spa is big big scam

Sorry to hear the bad experience. We've never had a problem with carnival spa services. Take it to social media - they will respond because the spa is a HUGE revenue generator for them.
