Review summary

This was our 1st cruise, and although overall it was a good experience, the non working air conditioner in our room made it hard to be in there. Guest Services did not seem to care much when we were down there the 1st 4 days complaining about the heat. The Piano bar with Jonathan, Vlad and Smaranda was probably the best time we had on the cruise. We will cruise again, just not sure it will be with Magic due to the room and guest service issues.

You absolutely can not be bored on the ship - there are things to do all day and for every age group. You can be as busy or as lazy as you want.

Guest Services / Excursions Desk

Guest services did not seem to care that our a/c did not work in our room the first 4 days of the cruise. The employees were not very friendly and when you finally made your way to the desk they acted as if you were bothering them.

The Serenity

Finding a place to lay and relax was a little difficult at times. When you could find a place to lay all you heard were the screams of kids on the waterslide right next to the serenity deck. This should have been moved so relaxation was actual possible.

Waiters were great in the Main Dining Room, Room steward was pretty good, but the people at Guest Services acted as if you were bothering them when you finally made your way to the desk.

Common areas were clean, bathrooms were always clean - just took some figuring out how to get from one end of the ship to the other since some floors don't go from front to back.

We also had no air temp was almost 80 when checked ! We stayed at customer service desk every day !! They could care Less!!!!!! Gave us 150 on board credit !!!! Another man on this site said he got 500.00 well for 3500 what I paid I feel we should also have got something more !!! A vacation is made to rest not burn up all night and get no Sleep!!!!

We've been on 8 Carnival cruises, 4 different ships (including Magic), and every single cabin we've had has been uncomfortably hot. We being 2 desktop fans just to be able to sleep. It's my one complaint about Carnival.
