It was a piece of cake getting on the ship. However, if you book a really late boarding time, you can relax by the pool at the hotel and not have to wait in line to board the ship.

Dining room is great. The buffet is just so so and I think needs a few more options. But the buffet overall is not too bad.

I felt like no matter what we did, they were always trying to sale us something. We had to sit through sales pitches for jewelry and watches constantly.

Dining room staff were awesome. Only saw our room steward 3 times in a 7 day cruise.

Cleanliness was superb. The design makes it confusing to get around. Talking to other people that have been on several cruises said that the Magic was the hardest to navigate.

Ship tip

Bring a fan for your room. I went to customer service 8-9 times about our room being hot. I was told 5 different excuses about why the room was hot. It never got below 75 degrees in our room.

Yea sales pitches r totally optional. The magic is an amazing ship my favorite so far and been on it about 4 times. I LOVE the deck around level 5. They layout is so great my kids where giving people directions. So sorry u did not care for it

Exactly TNTGreen... You choose what you go to on a cruise. Like you, we did not attend a single port talk for this very reason. My question to Natadf is if you didn't like the up-sale tactics, why keep going to the port talks?

Just sailed on Magic last month and it was great. FYI...you don't have to sit through the sales pitches. You can opt not to go; we didn't go to one.
