Review summary

I have to say we had a great time. Very relaxing. For the most part our experience was excellent. I did go into detail above about 2 issues we had and unfortunately the one was on our last night and it just left such a bad taste in our mouth. Hopefully Carnival will take care of this problem so others don't have to deal with this. I shopped around extensively for this cruise and for where we wanted to go ( we do not want to go to Mexico) it was a good deal. The service in the restaurants was 5 star quality. This wait staff could run a 5 star restaurant. I would definitely sail with Carnival again and hope that we would not experience any more issues.

The service from the wait staff was unmatchable. I have never experienced better service anywhere. Our room staff was terrific as well. However there was an issue with a crew member from the photo area. I mean a bad issue. This girl was so disrespectful it was shocking. Not only was she not doing her job properly but she (Ottaoai) had a serious attitude. I told her I didn't care for her attitude and she brazenly told me she did not care! We also had an issue with one crew member from the Alchemy bar. He served my husband the wrong liquor which is ik mistakes happen. But he refused to acknowledge he could have made a mistake and argued extensively with my husband. He actually questioned him about the taste. Wanting him to describe the taste and what was different. Now I don't know about you, but my husband almost exclusively drinks Crown Royal. He knows it very well and when he was served something different he knew it. All he wanted was him to bring him the right drink. But instead he got a hard time.

Ship tip

One thing is to be sure when you are going from one end of the ship to the other and changing floors, be sure that the floor you want to do to can be accessed from one side to the other. Sometimes you have to go down a floor and then go back up. Also our experience with the photos was horrible. It took 2 hours to get our pics. We picked them up at a scheduled time but as I mentioned before at least 1 person was not doing their job properly and was serving up a huge attitude.

I am sure there are parts of this Island that are beautiful. But we only were in the port area. Some of the people selling ( and I only mean some) were not friendly and even a little shady. Also some of the people offering tours were a little pushy. We ventured across the street to go to a Walgreens. the prices were nuts and also that side of the street did not give me a good vibe.

Grand Turk Island

We went to Bohio beach. (Bohio dive resort excursion, beach burger and beer). Not only was this the most beautiful beach I had ever seen but this excursion was so worth the money. The resort is beautiful, our food was great. The local beer is so good and the servers were very very friendly. Loved it!
