Would have loved to have another sea day. Four ports in seven days is a lot. You sometimes feel that you can't experience a lot on the ship because you feel like you need to get off at all the ports of call. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and will hopefully book another next summer.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was a nightmare - but totally my fault. My daughter's boyfriend was on his first cruise with us. We all have passports, but he was going to use his license. I totally forgot about bringing his birth certificate. Hi mom, who was out of town, somehow texted a copy of his BC to us. The embarkation employees were extremely helpful and helped me to stay calm. I was sweating buckets.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everything was great - would have liked a little more variety in the evenings at the indoor lido buffet.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Water slide, fitness center, lobby activities, two shows, one comedy show. Enjoyed them all.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
All were excellent
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Cannot say enough good things about all service personnel. Our room steward was fantastic. Loved him.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean, and was constantly being cleaned. Hallway carpets may need to be changed out - with all the foot traffic, it's never going to be squeaky clean. Occasionally, there was a sewage-type odor in the hallway.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Room was comfortable. Even though it was cool having a balcony room, there was a good deal of noise from the door while sailing. Sometimes a big draft would blow through the adjoining door from the door that separated the stateroom next to us.
Ship tip
You'll never be able to experience everything the ship offers. Don't wear yourself out scheduling every minute of your trip. Be sure to meet the cruise director - he was the highlight of our trip. Wish every Carnival ship had a Dr. E.
Not very timely or orderly. We did self-serve disembarkation - - and so did 80% of the ship it seems. We were delayed about an hour trying to get off the ship.
The pool and lounge chairs will still be there, calling my name! And, because the majority of people will be at port, I won't have to fight for the best lounge chairs!
We are staying aboard for one port this cruise for that very reason. We always wish we had another sea day and we can't find an excursion that jumps out at us! Looking forward to enjoying one day on the ship without so many people!
We like both that's why we do back to back to have the best of both worlds 60 days until we leave Australia for back to back magic ETC.... countdown 🍹😎
