Review summary

All our prior cruises have been on another cruise line.

I have to say that my expectations were high.   With that said,...

- slow dinner service.

- Crew/off duty entertainers seemed to take over dance floors rather than let guests enjoy .

- schedule on the Hub seemed to never reflect actual locations and times of events.

- stewards checked/cleaned room only once daily.

- lines to get tickets for shows and the lines for shows???? Really!!

- fill-in crew for recreation events/games should probably know the rules and how the games work.  Saying "I don't usually do this." doesn't  help much.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Slow service . Food - good. Thanks for honoring our seating preference.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
A schedule of events and activities is only helpful when it is followed.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
- Impromptwo - great. - String Trio - Excellent. - Stage production cast - full of themselves and mediocre in performances - Comedians- Good. - Marcus Anthony - good.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Cabin Steward, Jay was excellent. Would rank him number 1 compared to ALL prior cruises (on RCCL). Jay will be a great leader in your hotel management team.

Ship Quality

Just got off the ship and you had to get tickets for certain comedy shows.

We sailed the Magic in April and... none of this happened. There are no tickets to get into any shows, and everything was always at the correct time and place. You ruined it for yourself by going in expecting perfection where it doesn't exist.

We were on Magic in May. Had to go to lounge to get tickets for comedy show but none left so not able to see it. Regular stage shows are no problem to get a seat if you get there early, probably 30 min prior to show time.
