Review summary

Great ship. Decent food in MDR. Better food and choices on Lido. All about the upcharge eateries. The ports of Amber Cove, St. Thomas and San Juan were terrific. Grand Turk just a stop. ENTERTAINMENT WAS A 10+! Cruise director, Dr E was entertaining especially at the 80's party.

Just beware that Carnival is cutting services like cabin service, delivery of duty free liquor brought to your room, VIFP privelages and no water allowed to be brought on board. Maybe all cruise lines are doing this??

Worried about having 4 people in one room but if you are and stay organized, it works just fine. Love the aft cabins. Close to lido which is where I'm at 80% of the time.

Ship tip

Very fun ship. Must like big. Don't miss any of the evening shows. Stay away from lido food stations at peak times.

We went to Magens beach. Not a good experience. We were in the water and a strong influx of coloured water started to invade our area of the beach and it stunk the high heavens. Needless to say we left the area. Once back on ship we complained to the Service desk but nothing became of it. I did however noted it in my ship review and on tripadvisor. So be careful when in the water- you never know where the outflow of a sewer pipe may be.

The water is $4.50 for a case of 24, waiting for you in your room if I'm not mistaken. We did a cruise on the magic Dec 2015/January 2016 Dr E was awesome! Duty free liquor we had to pick it up the morning we left the ship... What kind of cabin service was cut?
