Review summary

this was our 3rd cruise with carnival and 5th cruise total. this was by far the worst one we have been on. it started day one with the matradee in the northern lights dining room. very rude! we had a party of 13, booked our cruise 8 mo. in advance and were supposed to be at a table together and it wasn't done. second we had things missing from our luggage and guest services Chai was very rude to us and basically accused us of not packing our phone chargers. Camp Ocean was awful. my 6 yr old said they yelled at him several times, one of the staff members pushed him , and because the kids werent seperated like they should be my 6 yr old got bit by a 2 yr old. they did nothing for us. didnt contact us. 4 hrs later when we picked him up his arm was still red. didnt offer for medical to look at him. there were no activities or structure. just free play the whole time.we asked to speak to supervisor and it never happend and for an incident report for us and we never got it. the bunk beds in our rm were left down the entire week. we had no room and it made it hard with two kids. the food was awful. there was no selection. only pizza all the time. they have restuarants but only open 2 of the 7 days from 11-12:30. no more midnight buffets or ice carvings. carnival has really cut back and gone very cheap. we were really dissappointed. only water, unsweet tea. or nasty lemonade all week for us. the kids hated it. no apple juice or any other juices like they said you will have. overall the staff was very rude and unhelpful. no one seemed to know anything. the elevators were so slow you had to use the stairs to get anywhere. and now you have to pay for things like steak or lobster. this is ridiculous after paying so much to be on the ship. we will not be going back on carnival. only RC or disney for us!!

The restaurants and buffet are open until 230 for lunch but okay. Guys and the deli are open much later.

either your looking for money back just by complaining or your one of the guests that will never be happy. I just got off the magic Feb 4th 2017 and we had 5 total in one ocean view room. I never had an issue with beds being left down as we spent our time outside the room enjoying the ship. I loved the ship, the crew was amazing and we all loved the food options available every day. sounds like no matter what happened you were set to have a bad trip. my only advice is to enjoy your time with family and your vacation and quit complaining so much!

gee we just returned from the Magic yesterday and can't wait to return in Sept. the service and food were Great. The ship is beautiful and very clean. Our servers in the dining room were awesome..

Oh... and we all ate steak and lobster at no additional cost. There are steak and lobster upscale offerings on the menu, but the ones included with the cruise cost were delicious. No need to buy the upscale ones. Our waiter even brought 2 lobster tails for each of usð

We were on the Magic two weeks ago and loved it. I find it hard to believe that there were no structured activities for the kids on your cruise. We had a group of 20 and the kids who attended the kids camps were always doing different fun activities (designed shirts and crafts, scavenger hunts), in fact, one day we (the adults) were playing basketball and were asked to come back because the kids camp arrived for their reserved play time, which we were totally fine with.

Wow, we were on the Magic in Nov and enjoyed it so much we booked again for Aug 2017. Sorry you had a bad experience. It's true they leave the bunk down all week, I didn't like that because it made thinks even tighter, but overall we always have fun.

We were on the magic in may, wow, can't believe you had so much trouble! We had an amazing time. And good luck on the other cruises you'll be paying for the extras you though you didn't like on carnival!!
