Review summary

Our cruise was wonderful in all aspects. It started with a smooth transfer from Orlando MCO, fast and easy check in (platinum status) and direct on boarding to the ship. Our room was ready so we dropped off our carry on luggage and went right up to Ledo deck for lunch. Our cabin stewards and wait teams were great the entire cruise. We loved the comedians at the Punchliners club. They were all great.   We have had some mixed results in the past. Island stops were good. Really liked the cruise center in Amber Cove. Did not have to leave the port. Great swimming complex with shopping. Grand Turk was another good port to stay at to enjoy as there is beach and shopping right off the ship. Margaritavil is at the port with same pool set up as Amber cove. Getting off the ship was really easy. They have refined the process right down to picking up your luggage by zone, by floor. We went right to it. Transfer back to the airport again went smooth!!! The only thing we did not like was the cruise director. He went by Reverend E if that tells you anything. Loud and obnoxious and would sing every time he got on the P/A. It did not ruin our cruise though...... Excursions have gotten really expensive through Carnival. Would recommend the trip.

The cruise director is not for everyone. We cruised in July and had read the rave reviews about him. Understand that a lot of people really like him, but he was not my style either. It did not in any way impact the fun trip that we had; however, I agree with this review that he was a bit obnoxious.

I've sailed from NYC, Miami and PC - PC has by far the fastest check in ever! Arriving at the port and boarding the ship took only 15 minutes, we got there at noon!

How were your other two ports?

Sounds like you're the only one that doesn't like the Rev E. Everyone else just lives him and thinks he's the best!
