Review summary
Carnival has promised a fun experience with every cabin, and they easily delivered with a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise on the Magic!! The boat was clean, the room was nicely appointed, the food was great. Even the casino impressed with the variety of games and the size itself. The employees were friendly, engaging and offered great service. My cruise agent, T. Flowers was also top notch, offering cabin selection advice that was spot on, pricing that was very competitive and all with a knowledgeable, friendly demeanor. I picked one excursion from Carnival and one from and enjoyed them both immensely!! Port selections were pretty nice with Cozumel, Belize City and Roatan. If any changes could be made it would be to have Belize build a dock, so tendering would not be required. I understand why they don't build a dock, but it would be a improvement in my eye. If you want a relaxing vacation with good food, entertainment and interesting ports to visit, it would be hard to beat this Carnival cruise out of Galveston. I will miss the Magic as it moves to Port Canaveral, FL but don't think Carnival will miss a beat by bringing in the Freedom to service this area! One tip, is to select the "your time dining", as you have a broad window in which to eat in and you never feel rushed to make a fixed time!!

Ship tip
You can get to eat a "Guy's" burger easy enough, but to get "Guy's" BBQ, wait until about 130pm and look at both lines...go to the short one and it will move fast. Open only on sea days from 12 to 230pm. Enjoy!!
