Review summary

It took 40 years of urging before my husband would agree to take a cruise. I was anxious that everything would be perfect for him. He was amazed at how wonderful everything was...the room, the food, the ship, the weather............ EVERYTHING was fabulous! Now, HE'S telling EVERYONE to cruise on Carnival!!! Thank you Carnival for making our 40th anniversary such a tremendous blessing!

The counters were dusty when we entered the room, but our attendant did an excellent job keeping our room clean handling our every need!

Ship tip

Please rethink how the safety presentation for emergencies is verbalized. I know it is a challenge getting AND KEEPING peoples attention for such an important talk, but levity is inappropriate. The announcer kept changing his voice causing people to laugh as though they were in a comedy club.

This was our favorite location! The beach was gorgeous and the security personnel at the beach were most helpful and friendly.

That's what I told him. The main reason he finally decided to go was our college aged daughter suggesting it this time. He has realized that the kids won't always be able to, or want to, go with us on trips.

They do have a lot of activities during sea days. Look at your Fun times which is on your bed every night. The Magic is an awesome ship. I hope he will enjoy some time away. Everyone needs a little time away from work and home. I am a workaholic too! I am a nurse. I work a lot of 16 hour shifts. Something about going on a cruise relaxes me. When I go back to work I feel refreshed and have a new perspective on things. Well worth it for my husband and I to get some much needed time together.

Thanks Sheri. I'm hoping so. He's a control freak workaholic and he has a hard time with the idea of being away from work for 7 days without being able to get his 600 phone calls every day. I think he will be fine on port days, but sea days are going to be a little tough. He's not a lay on the sun and relax kind of guy. He does love to gamble as long as he can win a little.

I bet your husband will love it. Most people do get addicted. It took a little convincing to get my husband to go too. He can't swim. He is addicted now. About to go on our fourth one in October. Have a wonderful time on your cruise!

I thought mine was bad! I've been begging my hubby for over 20 to go on a cruise. Finally going on our first one at New Year's. I really hope he loves it so we can go again.
