Review summary
All in all the cruise was pretty good staff was amazing and always smiling and polite. If you go in this boat ask for Basco, Yasa, and Errol to be your dinner staff they were absolutely amazing and I was actually sad to leave at the end cause I talked to them like I knew them forever and that makes a great experience. Boat was very nice and clean. Food was great I didn't like the fact that there always trying to take pictures of you at dinner or trying to sell you a shot of alcohol every night while your eating it just gets annoying. Not happy that several hot tubs were not working and were told several times they would be fixed in 30 min and it never happened then half of the working hot tubs were either cold or Luke warm water. Besides that whole fiasco I was pretty pleased with everything else. I booked my cruise through which I am very displeased with and will probably not book through again because things I was told over the phone to how things actually worked on the ship were totally different and ended up costing me a lot more money in the end and not able to do everything I wanted on the boat. Unless I am taken care of on there end I will book direct through Carnival next time cause everyone I talked to on the boat was very please booking through them and also got a bunch of little perks that just made there cruise and experience that much more enjoyable. The biggest issue of many with is there agent told me that Carnival offered an unlimited drink package which I was excited for and budgeted for for $50.00 a day and I specifically asked the agent can I just purchase the package on only the days that the boat was at sea cause it wasn't worth it on the days on the islands and she said yes that's no problem you can pick and choose your days.... So I get on the boat and ask to do the package for the day and the bill comes back at 600.00 for my GF and I and I said I only wanted it for the day and they said Carnival only does it for the full time you on the boat so if I want the package it's an all or nothing. I then had the ship contact and they said they can't do anything for me and said pay for the whole package and if they happened to record my conversation with my agent they will reimburse me what I'm out but if they didn't have a recording of it then I'm out the $600.00 so that was a chance I didn't want to take cause I was in a no win situation and ended up paying $9.00 a drink and not having the fun and experience I wanted cause there agent didn't know the rules of how it all worked when I booked it. What makes me even more mad is when I originally booked the trip I wanted an all inclusive cruise and looked at some that were only a couple hundred more and I didn't book those cause the agent said I could do the all inclusive on the at sea days which would have saved money but in the end I actually spent more then too and to top it off says to me they will give me a $50.00 credit on the booking of my next cruise which is insulting to me and doesn't matter cause unless this is handled the right way they won't get another dollar from me or anyone I know again!!
