Trip of a lifetime. Highly recommended to anyone.

Overall extremely enjoyable and the view was majestic. Was much colder than we expected.

I would personally not recommend Carnival to any of my family or friends. Entering a holiday spending over $2000 on accomodation and food to be underwhelming let down has left a distasteful stench in my mouth. The buffet is revolting so I attempted to eat at the restaurant hoping for better quality. To which I was again let down with a microwaved sirloin steak. Upon my disappointment I contacted guest services to make a complaint to which I was rudely advised to go back upstairs and speak to a manager. Upon locating a staff member in the buffet area asking for a manager I was directed to yet another waiter. The manager took my feedback but by the looks of these comments I don’t believe they’ve tried to improve anything. Upon departing Airlie beach, guests were forced to stand in direct Sun on 30 degree day at over 80% humidity. Over 150 guests (many elderly) left to suffer as they await the tender back to the ship. Carnival had one gazebo to cater for everyone as they wait. The pools are too small to cater for any more than 10 people and the reak of chlorine made them easily avoidable. Having a quiet night I decide to order myself a strawberry daiquiri from the bar, where I was asked if I’d like an extra shot. To which I replied “no thank you I have a big day of excursions booked tomorrow”. After receiving my drink I noticed the bar tender rudely ignored my request and added an extra shot anyway. This is disgusting and seriously questionable. The boat is overpacked obviously trying to get the most money they can. On multiple occasions I attempted to attend on ship events to which were always over packed to the point I was advised I cannot attend. The cabanas and chairs provided were no where near enough for the amount of people crammed on board. The smoking area was the size of a ensuite crammed with people 24/7. The person left to attend my room was creepy and perverted. Upon him attempting to start conversation he would stare at my breast and look me up and down which left me feeling uncomfortable. It got to the extent I was locking my suitcase everyday and left the “snooze” sign on my door to avoid him entering my cabin. The beds provided were horrendous and left my back strained every day. Staff should be monitoring events and ques more as other guest were cutting lines which would result in waiting over an hour to either embark or disembark. All and all I am appalled with the entirety of my stay. I will NEVER be attending this cruise again and I would NEVER recommend this to any family or friends and I pray you see this before it’s too late. WHAT A WASTE OF ALMOST $3000.

Same class of ship as Sprit & Legend but with Italian flair (ex Costa) ship.

The Carnival Luminosa was an interesting ship but cruising is what you make of it, I could complain about stuff or be happy I was on an Alaskan cruise which I will choose to focus on! The wildlife and scenery was gorgeous as usual, the service was wonderful and the food was post-Covid standard but I wasn’t cooking it so I’m not going to judge it too harshly.

Overall my family enjoyed the cruise, the scenery and the crew, it's a must do again!!

For a first family cruise, we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased. We really didn't have any major complaints. Would highly recommend this ship for families with young children as Camp Ocean was great and the ship was the perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers to get around comfortably.

Been cursing since 1998 & I would say this was my least favorite cruise. The customer service was out of this world. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. The on and off boarding process was one of the best. The entrainment & food was below average

Alaska is a must do itinerary. Luminosa is a decent ship

Everything you think it would be!! Spend the money

The crew was good but the ahip was boring, needs updated, and more activites. The pools were heated which was a plus.

The Luminosa is a great ship to see Alaska on. So much to see and admire in Alaska. Shore excursions were definitely worth the price. Did the Zodiac boat and Fin Island Lodge in Sitka. Best excursion I’ve ever done. Got up close to lots of wildlife and the food at the lodge was incredible. Did the whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau and it was also amazing. Did the Yukon motor coach to Caribou Crossing in Canada and White Pass railroad back to the port. So incredibly beautiful and even got to see some black bears including some cubs. Did the South Sawyer Glacier excursion in Tracy Arm Fjord, so incredible! Got to see so many seals just hanging out on the floating ice. Shopped in Ketchikan and got to see their 4th of July parade before pulling away. Wish we there longer. Didn’t get off in Victoria do to the strange time in port (8pm to 11:30pm). Couldn’t have had better weather, only rained twice the entire 8 days. Glad I didn’t do the drink package as they were out of so many beers that I usually drink on Carnival. Food quality is definitely an issue on this ship. The small negatives aside we had an unforgettable time on this cruise. If you’re into beautiful scenery and wildlife then definitely do an Alaskan cruise.

I have made some negative comments, but we loved the cruise as a whole. The info may help with expectations as you take this ship. Alaska is outstanding!!

A cruise is what you make it. So find what makes you happy and build off it. Life is to hard so go and make your own fun and enjoy yourself and make new friends.

We packed to much. The weather was great for us so we did not need everything but if the weather got bad we would have needed it all. Best of luck
