Review summary

Cruised on Royal Caribbean and there is a huge difference. Price for inside cabins are the same but i stayed in the suite on Carnival. Needless to say the staff were not accomodating and in fact sarcastic and rude.  If you can find some extra cash and want to be treated like never before with unreal food and broadway shows then Royal is the way you should go. If you have never traveled on Royal caribbean then you wont know the difference. Try one and then see if im right.  i wont be back on carnival unless they make huge changes

the shows were totally HORRIBLE. I sing better in the shower and couldnt believe they wasted all that effort. Walked out of every show

nasty staff 78% of the time. steward was awesome and 10% of wait staff too. The rest need to go back to training

Cabin was spacious and worth the money. Steward was alert and pleasant. room was clean

Ship tip

do not advance cash at casino. stick sail n sign card in slots, add money to your card that way and go to cashier and cash it out. avoid fees

Judging by the way you act and talk I'm guessing momma has to give you permission to go online?

Congratulations, you failed miserably at understanding what I said...

balls? lmao. not a bad word.

winkelkl    8 years ago

Wow judging by the language I can see why you and momma didn't go.

mrryno44    8 years ago

every Carnival ship have been on has been hot as balls staff is normally mean or lazy but the price is good the drinks are cold and the food is great. Well Caribbean was kind of expensive and my mom didn't like it so we didn't go maybe I should try

yep could never understand someone complaining about a cruise.

tommiesharkey    8 years ago

True that complain about everything!!!!

I have been on 11 Carnival cruise's and everyone was awesome. Some people are never happy.

That does have a lot to do with it, if you go in with a snooty "I've sailed on Royal Caribbean" attitude and you actually say that they are better than carnival for the price, then it's no wonder you were treated the way you were!

Been on 7 cruises all on Carnival and never a problem with the staff!!

I to have been on both, and both were wonderful. RC seems more luxurious and expensive, Carnival has more reasonable fares and is non stop fun. The crew has never failed me with their friendliness and personal treatment on either cruise line. And I've been on 13 cruises.

Remember that each cruise line has it's strengths and weaknesses. You must also keep in mind that within each cruise line you will find considerable differences from one ship to another. I suggest trying several lines and finding the one that best suits your expectations. A cruise vacation is not a one size fits all endeavor. I have been on several different cruise lines and have found that I like HAL. The next person might not like HAL and prefer Carnival. Too each his own.

RC is more expensive, especially sailing out of San Juan, PR. Both the Adventure of the Seas and Jewel of the seas are more expensive than the Carnival Liberty sailing out of San Juan, PR. That is why I continue to travel with Carnival, I have been treated extremely well and so far have no incentive to pay more for RC.

True that, you're treated the way u act!!

I disagree. I have cruised on both and enjoyed both cruise lines. RC was just a lot more expensive. The staff on both cruise lines were excellent. Some times it is the cruisers attitude that makes the difference.
