Review summary

We did very much enjoy our cruise. It is the perfect southern carribean cruise. You fly into an exotic location , then you visit 5 more exotic locations throughout the week. The ship was very beautiful, and what one might expect from a cruise ship. I do think a softer bed would have improved our experience. The shows on board were world class. Food on board was plentiful and good. Service was excellent.

Our bed was way too hard. our room was just forward of the rear corner and seemed a little small. I have cruised many times before on numerous different lines starting on Cunard lines at the age of 6 months of age, and this was the lesser of any balcony room that I remember. Our room steward , Henry was excellent, so we did not want to try getting a different room. I believe the ship was probably full anyway.

Ship tip

Go to the big shows. Enjoy the comedy . Try the Guy Fierie burgers, they are awesome.

I always go to the big production shows. In fact, I almost always go to all the evening entertainment. I hope that on your next cruise you get a bigger room with a softer bed. On some ships you can request a topper for your mattress.

we used to take carnival/valor out of San juan....we loved it so much we went on it 3 times...the ports were the best...

Carnival has a reputation of having larger cabins.

Agree on the bed, this is the first with carnival that has been uncomfortable
