Review summary

All in all, this was an OK cruise. I've been cruising on Carnival for 20 years (about 12 cruises) and I've noticed over this time a slide toward mediocrity. It is still the best way to spend a week, but it is no where near what it used to be. For the first time, I withdrew the automatic tip for the dining staff as the service was terrible. Aside from that, everything else was OK. I blame it on the bad economy, or maybe I need lower my expectations as I get older.

it was the opposite for us on the Valor. dining staff was great but not the room cleaning crew. very rude. on the valor oct 3-10 2015. it lacked shows, staff (not enough). I know our dining staff was busting ass for us..no doubt. The Liberty has one of the best dining staff members we have experienced..his name is Ceasar. awesome guy

spend more money and change cruiselines. I have 9 cruises behind me and I know that things are not what they used to be. It is the same for everything.Have you experienced a grocery store lately?

I too feel the same way. When we first started cruising on Carnival the service was and food was great but not so much any more. Dining staff seem like that just don't care. We too have started taking prepaid gratuities off the bill. Room staff are still good.
