Review summary
Ship was clean at all times. Food was OK in the buffet area, and above average in the dining room. Great variety to choose from at dinner and they had a rough first night with the "American Table" concept, they quickly got their act together and it went well. Portions were very large, probably enough for two on each plate. Best side place to eat was Guy's Burger Joint. Excellent and seemed a far favorite by everyone. Not open in the evenings, which was a disappointment.
This was our first cruise with a balcony. Due to low occupancy, got a chance to upgrade to a OS Suite. Fantastic!! Tons of room and large balcony. It will be hard to go back to an inside room. Housekeeping was excellent and very accomodating to our weird wake/sleep scedule. Downside is that suite occupants cannot control temperature settings. Mildly frustrating, but worked out OK in the end.
Ports in Cozumel and Costa Mia were well established and great. Ports in Belize and Honduras are still being developed and given another year, I would expect them and the excursions to be really fantastic. We felt we got a great value on each excursion (Paddle Boarding, Beach Getaway, Dolphin Encounter, and Dune Buggy Beach Safari). Highly recommend the Dune Buggy Beach Safari in Costa Mia and Paddle Boarding in Cozumel.
Overall, I would recommend the Liberty. Not a huge ship, but if traveling with kids, large enough for them to have fun, but easier to find.
