Review summary
The boarding process was very smooth. Despite the small stateroom (we went with the least expensive choice-interior cabin) it really did fit all four of us comfortably. The beds were quite comfortable and the turn down service was excellent (little towel animals and chocolates very night). Breakfast and lunch were very good but lines could get long at times. Dinner was exceptional. The service was impeccable. The food was creative and delicious. Escargot, carpaccio, a wide variety of soups and salads, fresh seafood. We even had Chateaubriand one night. The waitstaff even busted out one night to do a dance for us. Very fun! There were so many things to do, at pretty much all hours, that we never got bored. The entertainment was top notch, both in the theater where they had a variety of shows, and the lounge where they had very funny stand up comedy both for families and adults only. Work out facilities were very good but the spa, as elegant as it was, was overpriced and was a hard sell for its line of products. The massage beds were too narrow too, and the masseuse, despite her small frame was unusually rough and left me in pain the next day. I guess that's what I get for not buying her lotions and stuff. The shore excursions were absolutely the highlight of the trip. We did the cave exploration in Cozumel (Secret River) and the Xunantunich ruins in Belize. We missed the zipline in Roatan due to weather. The guides were above everything. They were so much more than guides and never failed to answer any question. Definitely a check off the bucket list! Along with the regular travel stuff, don't forget the aloe vera. Pack light, but don't forget an elegant dress or suit for special nights. The drink program is probably worth it if you drink alcohol (if you plan on drinking more than six drinks a day, every day, it will be worth it) but the kids were fine with lemonade and tea. Overall, it was a great time.Ship experiences
