Review summary

The Liberty was great. The ship was beautiful and though it was very large and held about 3000 guests, at no time did we feel crowded or have to wait in a line. Activities were plentiful and varied. The shows were top-notch. We always found lounge chairs on deck, both in the sun and in the shade. There was plenty of storage in our cabin for two people. The service was excellent. Everything on the ship was extremely well-organized. My only negative comment concerns the public restrooms. They were tucked away and a little hard to locate, there weren't enough stalls, and they had a really odd two-door entrance system that was really awkward when someone was coming in and another person was going out at the same time. In addition they weren't remarkable in any way in keeping with the rest of the ship--no pretty stone--marble, etc. They were serviceable and clean though.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the buffet and the dining room was average to good. The food in Harry's was superb.

Todd, the cruise director, was top-notch.

Cabin / Stateroom

The interior cabin was a little small, but there was plenty of storage. The bathroom light was a little odd, always blinking on and off a few times before it actually came on--evidently this was common to much of the ship.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

My husband LOVED the Ondeck Ocean Racing as did the others who participated. The shopping was also good. Lots of good beaches here too. We went to Megans Bay; talked to others who went to good beaches.
Don't Miss: beaches

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

We went on the boat that ended up in the snorkling near the island that was the Robinson Caruso Island. The snorkling was absolutely fantastic. The best we have ever seen. The water was calm since it was in the lee of the island so everyone felt comfortable in the water. Great time.
Don't Miss: The snorkling tour

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan was sort of a waste of time. We arrived in the evening. Most people just walked around for awhile and then went back to the ship. There wasn't much to do. No decent shopping, Not too many people interested in tours there as far as I could tell.

Pros: The ambiance of the cruise

Cons: The public bathrooms on the ship
