Review summary
Carnival is not my favorite cruise line, but I have done two other Carnival cruises that were okay/fine. This cruise was not enjoyable, other than a few high points. The staff just doesn't seem to care. Bed too hard: "Sorry". Room too warm: "Room is within our guidelines." One scary incident was one person in our party is allergic to tree nuts. On day three, while eating dinner, he started to feel odd so he went to his cabin. About 11 pm, he continued to feel bad and developed a rash over a large section of his body. He called Guest Services and explained the situation. They told his Medical was closed and to calll 911. He called 911 and was told to go to the shops on board and buy Benadryl. He ran up to the shops, only to find that they were closed. WTH! Went back to the room and called 911 again. They said to have someone meet them at the Medical station. No one was there. Finally, a nurse (?) came to the room to sell him Benadryl. This person has had life-threatening incidents, and this could have been a terrible outcome. There was NO follow-up from Carnival. We went to Guest Services the next day to report how the situation was handled. The representative said they would look into it. Again, no follow-up. This is unacceptable! What if one was having a heart attach or other dire medical emergency? I would not feel safe sailing on the Legend (and perhaps the other Carnival ships if this is how they handle medical issues after hours). Just pick another ship/cruise line.Embarkation
