Great ship, great itinerary and an incredible crew.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Baltimore is a very easy port to get in and out of. We had Faster To The Fun and from the time we parked to the time we stepped onboard was 15 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
It’s a cruise, if you went for 5 Star Dining then maybe you should look else where. The quality of the food and the amount of options were great. We most ate in the Truffles dinning room and Guys Burgers and had dinner one night in the Steak House which was fantastic, it was a special touch to our anniversary cruise.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We were never board, the hardest part was forcing ourselves to just slow down for the first couple of days. The pools were great and kept very clean. The Serenity Deck is a nice get away, Carnival might want to update the music back there.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The rotation of comedians on this cruise was outstanding, on past cruises it’s hit and miss but this time all of the comedians were great. We went back several times. The shows in the big theater were great and the 80s Rock N Glo Party was a lot of fun.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service received from everyone onboard was 5 Star outstanding!!! Everyone smiled was friendly and always offered to help. I keep going back to Carnival for the great service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Cleaning is a non stop operation on the ship and it shows. The Legend may be a bit older but it shines. We were told that there was 2251 passengers onboard but the ship never felt crowded.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This is an obstructed view room, the obstruction is the top of a life boat which did not bother us at all or limit our view. The floor plan is much more open than a standard stateroom and it comes with an extended balcony that we really enjoyed.
Ship tip
In Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay we did not book any excursions, we just took the day off at the pool at Margaritaville in Grand Turk and enjoyed the beach at Half Moon Cay, the beach at Half Moon Cay is my favorite and we booked this cruise because of that port call.
Easy in, easy out. Nothing like craziness of some of the larger cruise ports. Parking is $15 a day and there is more than enough parking. The baggage drop off as you drive in works really well too.
Not my favorite port, but I had to go here to get to Half Moon Cay. There is some shopping and a couple of bars on the pier, we choose to stay onboard and have a pool day which turned out to be a greatly good day.
The whole reason we booked this itinerary was for Half Moon Cay. The beach is amazing, the water is crystal clear … Carnival puts on a lunch Buffett that was really good. It’s only a ten minute ride on the water shuttle to get from the ship to the island and they do a really good job at moving people. The perfect day.
Getting that many people off the ship with their bags in such a short time is an art form and Carnival has mastered it. We check all but one of our bags the the night before and picked them up in the terminal, that made it much easier.
