Review summary

Great time after a long layoff of not having a vacation

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Smooth experience at the port of Baltimore, drive right up to baggage handler, open your trunk and they take the suitcases right out and put them on the conveyor. Slightly longer wait than usual to get to baggage. Elderly employee was a little too friendly and wanted to chat with each car.

Food and Dining

Truffles Restaurant

Things have changed since our last Carnival cruise 4 years ago. I understand the cost savings and employees issues very well, but compared to our previous 5 Carnival cruises. The food, ambiance and employee training have all gone down hill. No linens on the tables, servers who reach in front of guest to serve, no menus ( all on your app now) portions all much smaller. Quality and quantity of food not as good. This review includes the Buffett as well. Hours for food not as good. No 24 hour place anymore. Used to have huge amounts of deserts, large fruit sculptures, great presentation… all gone.

Onboard Activities

All OKAY… not a huge amount, but what was there was ok

Follies Main Lounge

Just ok, nothing to write home about.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff still tries hard, they all MUST wear a mask and are not allowed to take it off. Very strict about this.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The Legend is the sister ship to the pride. She’s showing her wear and tear. Needs updating ! A lot of issues in our balcony room. Safe was broken and needed to be replaced, under couch drawer broken and wouldn’t open. Refrigerator never got cold. Art on wall held in place by command strip. Balcony dirty and broken table leg. Not huge problems but all needed to be addressed.

Ship tip

Don’t let small issues ruin your vacation. Make sure you take an electrical strip to give you more outlets
