We were so impressed by our entire experience. Everything/everyone was so nice and even when there was a hiccup (cruise ship crash) everything was handled so professionally and didn’t having any interruptions on our trip. We can’t wait to book our next cruise!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The process was quick and went very smoothly. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable on where we needed to go and what we documents we needed to have out and ready. Out of the 20 employees that we spoke to and guided everyone I think only 1 was rude. Not too bad.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All the food was wonderful! We expected the food to just be alright because of how much is constantly being prepared for all the guests and employees on the ship but there wasn’t one thing we didn’t get that we weren’t happy with.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We were definitely not bored. Carnival Legend constantly has things going on. Bad weather or excellent weather we were entertained by games, shows, and live music. If you can’t find something to do, it’s truly on you.
Entertainment

The shows were great but our favorite was going to listen to the ships band. I wish I could remember the groups name. They were so talented! They had such a great energy and it was the only time I saw all ages get up to dance to the different genres of music they performed. The band even stayed around afterwards and so many people went up to talk to them. They were all so personable.
Service and Staff

My husband and I were so impressed with our room steward Conrad. He was so friendly and personable! Any time he saw us around the ship he remembered our names and made small talk to see how we were doing. He felt like a friend by the time we left.
Our waiters in the main dining room were fantastic. They were so knowledgeable on the food, friendly every time we saw them, and they also remembered our names no problem. We had a really large group of family members vacationing together so we were constantly moving to different seats and between two tables and the waiters still remembered our names individually. So impressive!
Everyone was working on the ship was really great! I really can’t think of anyone who was even slightly rude.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
With the amount of people constantly eating I figured I would see plates, cups, and crumbs everywhere but the ship was always kept up so nice and clean.
My only suggestion is definitely invest in toilet seat covers. The bathrooms are clean but I don’t like to use public restrooms unless I can put a cover and barrier down between me and someone’s germs.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin size was small but that’s what we paid for. We were constantly going to shows and doing something outside of our room that it was perfect for just sleeping. Every time we got back to our room at night our cabin was always cleaned up and ready for our return.
Ship tip
Definitely check your app to see what activities are going on. There’s so much to do that favoriting events was really the only thing that kept me organized.
We went out to a private area on 7 mile beach that had a pool, bar, and plenty of room to lounge by the water. It was so beautiful! We didn’t do any shopping so I’m not sure how the shops were.
SO. NICE.
My entire family stayed at the Roatan beach club the entire day and we had so much fun! We kayaked, played in the water, had Fat Tuesday drinks and food delivered to our little umbrella/shaded chair areas on the beach and truly enjoyed every second of it. We took the ski lift thing in and even that was really nice. We were able to see all the beautiful tropical plants in the way in and look down in the gorgeous blue water. It was all so great! We did a little shopping before we got back on the ship and found some really cute shirts, Christmas ornaments, and hats.
To be fair the weather was really bad so some of the outdoor excursions were canceled. We walked around to see about doing something else and a lot of people were pushy and kind of rude. We did some shopping and that wasn’t bad. I did use one of the restroom areas in one of the main stores and the only bathroom that seemed okay to use I ended up seeing at the end had a huge hole in the high ceiling above it. It was really creepy. We ended up getting back on the ship after about two hours of walking around.
Cozumel was amazing! As soon as we stepped off the ship we were Greeted with high energy and so many friendly people. Our ship had just been hit by another ship so everyone was pretty confused and worried but the staff was really great to help explain the situation and ease everyone’s mind.
After walking around and going to get some drinks (Fat Tuesday's was so much fun!) we decided to go out to one of the private beaches to spend the day there. They ended up having a spa, pool area, restaurant, zip lining, and amazing lounge area on the beach. We felt so pampered and drinks were 2 for 1 so we had all of this without breaking the bank. We definitely want to go back soon.
@darkroomogre I'm not sure how to comment on posts... So hopefully you see this. Lol
It was definitely strange seeing what had happened to the Carnival Glory when they were next to us! I probably said "wow!" a hundred times. It was amazing how the crew was already working on the damage almost immediately. Our ships staff (Carnival legend) was giving updates on what happened and that everyone was okay. I didn't feel like they kept us hanging by not giving us information or updates so that was really nice. Everyone that I spoke to on our ship (This was after we were notified and knew everyone was okay on our ship and the other ship) just thought the whole thing was crazy and that it wasn't something that was common. Lol As first time cruisers we were definitely asking "Does this sorta thing happen??" and everyone definitely said they had never seen anything like this before. When we got back on the ship after spending the day in Cozumel they even sent letters to everyone's room explaining what happened during the accident and that everyone was okay.
We didn't think to ask about compensation so I'm really not sure if anyone got anything? That whole trip was so much fun and seriously worth every penny. Plus, we felt the boat jolt when it was hit but it wasn't enough to make my husband or I fall or anything.
