Wonderful Cruise

Sail Date: May 04, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Beautiful ship, great service from the staff and as always, on Carnival, fabulous food.  The only negative is that I didn't think the shows were as good as I have experienced in the past.  Overall, I highly recommend this cruise and Carnival Cruise Lines.,

Ship Quality
Beautiful Ship. We had an extended cabin and balcony and it gave us so much more room.
Food and Dining
Great food, especially the warm chocolet melting cake.
Service and Staff Ryan, our head waiter was great and new and called us by our names every night. Very Personable.
Entertainment
One really good Broadway show, the other was just ok. I did not care for the majic show.
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Did not do much except relax and that was good.
Destinations and Excursions
The thing that I liked most is that on most 7 day cruises you have 3 ports of call. This one had four!
Cabin / Stateroom
On our first cruise, 16 years ago, we stayed in an inside cabin. The next cruise was a outside window view. The next year we chose a window but was upgraded by Carnival to a balcony. What a smart move on Carnival's part. We have never looked back. I will always take a balcony if it is available. The room we chose this time was a premium balcony room which had a much larger room and balcony. It is the way to go.,
Tampa, Florida
Did not really care for the Tampa port. Probally will not go out of there again.
Cozumel, Mexico
Belize City, Belize
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is not my favorite place. Would rather have gone to Jamaica.

Tip

We actually did something that we have seldom done before. We ate most of our breakfasts in the main dining room. It is really better than on the Lido deck.
