Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
my husband likes buffet, I like sit-down formal. Every day we had both - it was absolutely great! He could eat as much as he wanted and I could have atmosphere.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Our cruise director was amazing - if you ever get 'Jen' you will have the best! even after 8 months on the ocean, she exudes excitement, energy and humor. We were impressed with all the options available and Jen and her crew made everything fun.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
definitely above and beyond - an absolutely wonderful group of international young people that made me feel special.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
huge ship - minimized the level of ocean movement - the weather was rough but the shipped remained relatively stable

Cabin / Stateroom

We were in an inside room with no windows. That was hard for me. My husband would have liked a night light. I wish we would have upgraded to a balcony. None the less, the room was well furnished, the beds very comfortable, and the staff taking care of us were phenominal.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

unfortunately the weather got bad and that had a serious affect on excursions. We took a 4x4 jeep tour which included a 'real' Mexican lunch and snorkling. The tour was great - the tour guide was entertaining, but it was just too cold to be in the water - we did it anyway.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
we were not impressed with Costa Maya - but again, the weather was really bad. In fact, our captain spent two hours just getting us to dock. Other cruise lines left snd didn't even try. the only thing available to us were the shops immediately at the end of our dock. Because no other cruise ships docked, the local vendors were desparate for us to purchase. The pressure was a bit much.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
The weather was rainy and it was pretty cold for Belize. We took the excursion to the Alta Hun mayan ruins. Due to circumstances, we ended up with only 4 people and boy did we feel special. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and we felt bad that he didn't have a large group to talk to. It was a great tour. We also enjoyed shopping in back of the main touristy port - great prices and entertainment.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
The hi-light of our entire cruise was the excursion to the stingrays. It was so incredible to be standing on a sandbar petting and feeding giant stingrays. It was our absolutely favorite excursion.
Don't Miss: stringray sandbar

Pros: Lot's of choices - never a dull moment

Cons: the weather was unusually cold
