My one concern with this port of call was its accessibility to someone with mobility issues. My mom used a scooter while on the ship she can walk short distances but needs assistance with longer distance. I checked the night before weather there would be a place to leave her scooter and the gentleman said no but there would be shuttle service. The next morning there was no shuttle service but a carnival employee was kind enough to push my mom via wheelchair to the end of the pier. The excursion meeting place was right there so that part went fine. Unfortunately on the way back they drop us off at the opposite end of the port or furthest part away from the pier. By this time my mother was struggling and I went to carnival asking for assistance but was told no to take the shuttle which in itself was not near the ship but my issue was my mom was in the port area still some distance from the pier buy they would not allow anyone to assist us if it meant them having to step off the pier. This was very frustrating my mom nearly collapsed I couple of times and could have all been avoidable had we received the wheelchair chair assistance we requested.

Sorry your mom had to experience that lack of assistance thanks for sharing your experience with us maybe someone else will see your review and know that there is no wheelchair assistance and they can avoid the same issue

Sorry you guys had a difficult time. I was on the same cruise and there was a trolley that ran the pier all day. While it did not drive right up to the ships doors, the distance from the trolley to ship couldn’t have been more than a few hundred feet on level concrete.
