Review summary

Great family time cruise with lots of activities and great food choices on board.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Lines moved fast and we got in quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet lines were kept stocked and all restaurants were delicious…especially the Pig and Anchor.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
All were great except the Thermalsuite. We paid to upgrade our room for that but the water in the thermal pool was not hot. EVERYONE complained but mgmt said it was as hot as it gets.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lots of comedy shows throughout the day which helped with overcrowding.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters (Gennies, Roy and Francis) were great! They made us laugh and welcomed us warmly each night. Our cabin steward, Rutu was efficient and helpful when laundry list one of my items.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is a new ship (only third sailing) so it was still gleaming.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I feel the cabins are a bit narrower but the redesigned furniture makes up for it. Bathroom seemed smaller too, but the shower was a bit longer. Some ppl complain about the glass door, but I loved this improvement. However, most that complained were larger ppl and used the curtain to cheat out extra width to accommodate their size.

Ship tip

This thing is huge! Take the first day and really explore its floors and offerings. You don’t want to discover anything too late to use.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

Live in TX so no need.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Loved, loved, loved the sloths, monkeys and macaws excursion.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
It has been built up a lot since my last visit 6 or so years ago. I highly suggest getting a massage at the huge spa that is in the port. Very reasonable prices.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Normally I don’t do much in Cozumel but this time we went to Xenses on the mainland. It was truly a wonderful experience. Hard to describe, but worth every peso!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Love the new Smile and Go technology. We were off the ship in no time at all.
