Review summary

This will most likely be our last Carnival Cruise. Although their crew is amazing, friendly, helpful & very attentive, the ship was a mess. From the moment we arrived in our stateroom, the entire bathroom reeked of sewage, which we would get whiffs of all over the boat, enclosing the decks and dining rooms. The elevators kept breaking down, the room and pool towels were mangled rags, our toilet backed up while we were gone on a shore excursions, and we came back to a flooded bathroom, we were woken by extreme shaking (knocking everything in the shower and bathroom to the floor) and engine screams everynight and every morning, and the food was ok, not the best, but edible. The poor crew works double over-time to counter this nasty old ship. They even shampooed the hallway carpets while we were there, but the boat is simply too worn to look presentable.

Don't waste your money on the Inspiration, and I personally would never do another Carnival cruise again. We've sailed Norweigen & Royal Carribean many times, and will continue to stick with those companies and Princess. Many of those horrific headlines about terrible experiences with cruises just happen to be the majority from Carnival, and now I see why.

The George Lopez Comedy Club was by far the shining star of our cruise! These comedians were the best I've ever seen, so entertaining!

So so soooooo old. The bathroom had permanent build up of black in all the corners and nooks. The carpets were stained and worn. The towels were rags. The bed skirt and coverlette were so stained and tarnished.

Ship tip

Do carry your luggage off of the ship for disembarkation. From the moment we left our room, to the time we went through customs and got to our car, it only took us 20 minutes.

Rent a golf cart and do the island cart roads! Takes around and hour to do the big loop. After go shop, and eat and Maggie's Blue Rose for some great Mexican food!

just got off Inspiration today and our cruise was delightful. staff is awesome, and the New Years eve celebration was sooo much fun. plan to do it again next year!

We are on 4 back to back cruises right now and everything has been more than amazing. The Inspiration and its crew are extraordinary! The food is always incredible and we can't wait to eat our favorite meals. Our stateroom stewards are efficient and friendly. It's what you make of the cruise. We can't wait for our next Carnival cruise...our home away from home.

I'm on the imagination now LOVING IT!!!! Had a slight issue with the room temperature and it was handled immediately. This is my 2nd carnival Cruise this year. No complaints here!!

you know lyndeebonner, when you write almost the post as another person wrote last month you need to stop comparing other lines to carnival it is your right to speak up, but it action by people like you that make the crew of any cruise line go hide when you board. It is funny that you mention the same lines as the other person did. sounds like you are one that get paid to knock other companies down but funny that you mention a line that is owned by carnival cruise lines they have 16 brand's of the 36 cruise lines they also rank number one in many market's. so all cruiser a favor and go away from the ocean, I bet you drive a AMC GREMLIN. I have been on inspiration never notice anything that you mentioned. So have a nice life in smaller state room's on other line that you adore.

I just got back from the Carnival Inspiration a week and a half ago and we didn't encounter any of those problems. There was no smell and the cooking in the dining room was awesome. I'm a cook so it is hard for me to be satisfied. I hope that you never have an experience like that again.
