Review summary
The boarding process for "Priority Boarding" was painless and timely.
The cabin was prepared and ready. A hinge on a closet door was broken and when reported to cabin steward, it was fixed by after dinner.
The ship-wide safety briefing was one of the worst we have ever experienced. It took over 1 1/2 hours - mostly standing/milling around. A five minute how to don the life jacket was the entire value of our wasted time. Many almost passed out. Several wandered off to find a seat. Terrible and totally unprofessional.
Sit down dinners were very nice. Nothing to brag about, but very nice. Service was very good.
Throughout the cruise, it seemed geared to a much younger set. The DJ music around the pool was soooo loud we could never sit by the pool. Nightly entertainment was off the radar late. Sometimes not starting until 11:30 pm.
Virtually everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. Many greeting with the second meeting using our first names. A real plus.
Disembarking was also painless for priority passengers. We did see very lone wait line for "routine passengers". Could have been and hour or two to get off ship.
We will have to think hard before we use Carnival again...
