This was our first time on a Carnival cruise and we had a good time. Facilities on the Carnival Horizon was adequate and very little waiting time at dining places, gym and some entertainment amenities..
Carnival Horizon Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Overall a very enjoyable experience on the Carnival Horizon. Got to do many fun things onboard and at port call, and chat with many staff and guests. Definitely will go again for another cruise.
Embarkation

Getting to the Port of Miami was rather challenging especially flying in from Fort Lauredale Airport. Instructions for registration prior to embarkation was not clear and ended up verifying personal particulars at the boarding gate. But the staff handling the boarding was super efficient, patient and friendly despite the long queue and multiple things she is handling concurrently. Great job!

Food and Dining

Short waiting time for the dining when using the check-in app. Adequate variety with reasonable quality. However, some food (fish, fried chicken, mash pototoes, etc) can be very salty and can do with less salt and seasoning and leave guest to calibrate their taste with seasoning on hand. Limited choices of drinks at the buffet line. Lemon tea (unsweetend) taste weird.
Onboard Activities

Rope race, Sky-ride, mini-golf, Basketball, gym, table-soccer. Enjoy all of them and the wait time was relatively short except for sky-ride.
Entertainment

Stage show was mediocre. Standup comedian was good and funny.
Service and Staff

Excellent service from wait staffs at Meridian, Cucina de Captaino and Lido. Good service from room steward, I Made, who kept our room clean and nice every day.

Your the 1st reviewer that I've came across that said the food was too salty and seasoned. The majority reviews I've read complains about the food being bland. I think your taste buds are wired differently 🤣. Too me they cook for the ederly on diet restrictions and serve it to the mass. It's a vacation let the AC1's and BP's rise a little. Take a few laps around the ship and drink plenty of water.
