Review summary

A lot of people got sick but other than that it was the best new years ever!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Took less than 15 minutes! Because we were platinum we were able to board early and the lines were all organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good but you could see the lack of effort in some spots. The buffet was different

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was a lot to do inside and outside! The new years celebration was extravagant

Entertainment

4 out of 5
There was music everywhere on the ship and something for everyone

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was Amazing!!!! You could see that the staff loves their jobs they always had a positive attitude and would strike a conversation with the guest:)

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Now, the ship was glamorous and constantly being cleaned. However, there was supposedly a passenger who boarded with knowing they had Covid but boarded anyway and got 90% of the ship sick. It was bad 1,000s of people had Covid getting off and the rest had a cold most people had to stay in their cabins for part of the cruise because they were so sick.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Ship tip

Book the spa! Get a cabana because the pools are always overpacked

Ports of call

La Romana, Dominican Republic

1 out of 5
I now understand why they built a port for carnival at the dock…. It is the most unsafe port we have been to. There are no lights or street lines and covered in poverty. Our driver gave us a tour Guide and we said we didn’t need one but he gave us a very concerened look and said “you need a tour guide”. At one point what looked to be a swat officer escorted us around because we were in such a dangerous area! But if you stay inside the terminal area there is a pool and shops and bars and restaurants! It’s very nice an there is even sand area with one of the best views of the ship

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Very nice views of the skyline

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
The most beautiful port ever! Covered in culture and colors!!!!! It is my new favorite port we loved walking downtown and getting a bite to eat at a local cafe!

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
We went to a resort with a beach it was very nice it was eagle resort and casino

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Wonderful as always! We zip lined in the port and chilled in the pools:) there were two very cool waterslides

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and quick but people were pushing.

We were on this sailing as well. Not a smidgen of sickness. Having Cookie the CD on New years was epic. We have our 5th, 6th, and 7th New years cruises already booked (although one is with Princess to finally visit the Panama canal) .
