Review summary

We needed a relaxing vacation and we found it on this cruise. We choose not to do any activities aboard and were happy just laying around. On the flip side we could have stayed busy with the many fun activities that were planned throughout the whole day as well. It truly was an amazing ship.

Embarkation

It looked hectic when we got to the port but it was smooth from them taking our luggage till us actually walking aboard the ship. And much quicker then we thought it would go.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffets always had a great selection and was good. We had the pizza, Guy's Burger Joint, Guy's Pig and Anchor Smokehouse and they were all good. We paid extra for the Cucina del Capitano, Italian food and the Steakhouse, they were both delicious and the Steakhouse was well worth the cost!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We ended up on the Serenity 21 and over deck most of the time. The hot tubs were nice, there was 2 of them. Laying out in the sun while having a waiter bring you drinks is the perfect way to relax. We also booked a couple's massage at the spa, expensive but worth it!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We watched one comedy show and he was funny. We used the IMAX theater two times to watch a movie. That was a plus!

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward is a magician, he had to be! We came back to a clean room every time we left it, no matter what time of the day. All the ship personnel was pleasant, always had a smile and a hello no matter where you saw them at.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean, well designed.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first time with a balcony on a cruise and we will NEVER go without on again. We went for relaxation, we did not want to be busy with activities, and we were able to stay in our room on the balcony, our bed was king size and comfortable and we had a couch to relax on. We were able to unpack all our belongings and put them in 3 closets, one had drawers in it. Everything was able to be unpacked and put in the bathroom. I had a stool to sit in front of the mirror and put on makeup. We never felt boxed in or uncomfortable in there. It was the perfect amount of space.

Ship tip

You can keep as busy as you want on the boat or you can absolutely nothing and relax to your heart's content.
