Review summary

I was absolutely disappointed with this ship. It is beautiful and clean but few Carnival missed the mark here. You lose a lot of the cruising experience on this ship. More cruisers and no more activity or staff.

Food and Dining

Food was subpar in the dining room. There was clearly way to many passengers for the kitchen and waitstaff to keep up. We could not sit for a meal (breakfast or dinner) and be out in under 2 hours. Food was rarely cooked the way requested and staff were way to busy to be personable or friendly. The Buffett was small and always crowded. I love dessert but not on this ship. Every cake with frosting was disgusting.

Onboard Activities

Not enough pool space. Carnival underestimated the size of pools needed to accommodate the number of guests on this ship. So disappointing. Activities occurred by 1 pool but there was never room to hang out in the only pool where the activities occurred. And I am not certain why carnival thinks 1 event at a time in the evening is a good idea for 4900 cruisers. Yes we were told there were 4900 cruisers on the ship with us. Waiting in line for EVERYTHING on this ship got very old. Including activities.

Entertainment

1 show the entire week and comedians each night. Just not adequate for the price. And why do they keep the room closed until a half hour before the show starts. We were actually asked to leave a room we were in enjoying drinks so a line could form for a show. What the heck. Oh and if you get 1 drink during a show you are lucky. A very poor set up for sure

Service and Staff

The staff were very friendly when they had the time to be. I seriously felt bad for them as they worked so very hard, but were set up to fail by Carnival. So sad

The cabin was as expected.... with the exception of the balcony. We had a 4 person balcony and 2 maximum could fit on the balcony. We have cruises on 5 other ships and this was my least favorite and most expensive.

Sounds like NOTHING will ever please you....high maintenance??? Maybe since you have been on many other ships you should STAY with them and leave the "fun ships" to those who enjoy them!! We have never had a problem with lines, the pools or with the food or staff! You are on vacation so if I have to wait a few minutes I don't care but I have never had an issue with it. Your holiday is WHAT YOU MAKE IT!! Mine are great and will remaine that way because I want to have a fun time....hope you enjoy future cruises with other ships 😛. On a happy note only 130 days till our next cruise 😎

I don’t know how they could still give a good rating when they said nothing good about the ship other then clean and beautiful everything else was a negative experience
