Review summary

MDR food was fantastic! Try something new when you go. Take a nap so you can go to the really late activities and just remember to have fun!!

Embarkation

I could not believe how smooth the process was. It was better than any experience I have had dealing with airport security. Quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The MDR was by far our favorite! Fine dining with as many plates as you wanted. We didn't eat at any of the specialty restaurants just because we felt we had already paid for our meals and didn't want to pay extra when we had yummy meals that were paid. Pig and Anchor buffet was pretty good! Meats were good and typical BBQ sides. The lido buffet was typical buffet food, nothing extraordinary. I drank the tea and lemonade that was included and they were both just fine to drink.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools are definitely too small for as many people that this boat holds. We didn't get in one until the last day just because they were so crowded. There were lots of other activities so there was always something to do!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
1st two comedians were great, especially George on late night. DJs were ok. One on Lido deck seemed to never let a song finish before starting a second one. And pretty please stop teaching people dances in the middle of a party! It was a bummer more than once. Teach those during the day not in the middle of the flow.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ni was amazing and was sure to learn our names quickly and ask if there was anything she could get us for our rooms. Joel, Alfredo and KJ our waitstaff for the MDR truly turned our dining experience around. We were so glad to find them and worked our dinner meals around their availability. They were absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!!!

Ship Quality

Always clean!!! You would see the crew cleaning all different things throughout the day. Layout was a little tricky to get to the MDR since floor 3 wasn't available to walk straight through. Was not pleasant but tolerable to walk through the smoking casino to get to it. Of course elevators weren't the greatest but that just make us take the stairs a little more frequently.

Cabin / Stateroom

LOVED THIS CABIN! Plenty of space for the two of us and having TWO SHOWERS was amazing!!! Get this room, you won't be disappointed!

Ship tip

Get on 1st floor. Easy access, two bathrooms and nice and cool!

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

Pretty beach. We walked down to Jack's Shack where the drinks were strong and the chicken was jerky! There were wild dogs on the beach that ended up fighting with some other dogs so that was not relaxing. After a while, other people had made their way down to us but it was still nice.

La Romana, Dominican Republic

We visited around the time there were tourists dying without a known cause. We cancelled our excursion because it included food and drink and decided to do another one somewhere else where our health was not at risk. There were some unique shops and you could get your picture taken with a monkey and/or parrot. But boy was it hot! There was not a breeze at all. But the coastline from the ship was absolutely gorgeous!

Willemstad, Curacao

Beautiful beach. Was a bummer that a lot of the stores closed at 6:00 p.m.

Oranjestad, Aruba

So glad we finished with Aruba! Prettiest beach and water. Wish we had more time to explore the island.
