Review summary

Disembarkation was awful. Boat crashed into the port and Carnival thought no one knew when we all did because we felt it being that our cabin was in the middle/front on deck 1. I feel they should give back money for this. This is unacceptable. Also there were 3 fights that happened while on this cruise out of NY on 8/20/18.

Service and Staff

Guest Services took 30 minutes to take me off hold and hear my problem with my toilet. Also three fights happened and staff did nothing. Unacceptable.

Grand Turk Island

So dirty. They did not clean the beach, lots of food and bottles on the beach. The water had food and bottles in it as well. I was so looking forward to visiting this island again (visited 6 years ago and it was amazing). Carnival needs to regulate with Grand Turks about the look of this island. Absolutely unacceptable. I was so scared my daughter was going to get hurt. Also the guys and girls trying to sell stuff was so bad. They were charging people who didn't know better $25 for the beach chairs and told them none of the chairs were free which was a lie. We overheard this and told the people here you can have our free ones and also told them that all of the chairs are free right in front of the so call workers. They walked away really fast when we said that. The people were so mad that they were trying to rip them off. I was really upset about this. Everyone should get their money back from this port and Carnival should not make this a port stop until things get better.

My only complain is that they charged everyone $20 for zip lining when the sign said $10 for kids and $20 for adults.

You want to be compensated because the ship hit the dock? It's people like you that find a reason for everything and just want more. Your vacation was delayed, no one was hurt and no damage to anything of your personal belongings so why would you think you should get anything out of it. Be thankful you had a wonderful vacation and got back safely. Have a heart.

I was on that sailing, yes the boat hit the pier and no they didn't cover it up. No one was injured and many didn't feel it. I was on deck 7 forward, on my balcony at the time that's why I knew. Debarkation wasn't delayed because of it. Took me 20 minutes to get off the ship. Regarding the fights, my son witnessed a fight the last sea day at the limelight lounge and security intervened. I witnessed rude behavior by a lot of passengers. Classless and ghetto to be more specific. Other than that, I had a great time. I met so many awesome people. The staff on the ship work tirelessly and are truly amazing. I wish people treated them better. Overall I loved the ship and will certainly sail it again, but not out of N.Y. in the summer.

No reason to fight on vacation. I would put in a formal complaint.

Not sure why you think you are owed money. It was in the press so not a cover up. How did it impact your vacation? It looked like a very minor “crash” to me.

@IkeDeb - No one was hurt but you sure did feel it and knew something went wrong. They covered it up like nothing happened and I'm not okay with that.

Wonder why it happened, hope no one was hurt.
