Repeat Carnival Glory Cruisers by rhobridge

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a great time on this cruise.  We sailed on the Glory 13 years ago when it was pretty new and also had a great cruise.  We did note that the food was not as high quality as it was 13 years ago.  Also, lots of extras that required extra charges that weren't there 13 years ago.  Great friendly staff.  Ship needs a little TLC on the outside.  May consider other cruise lines in the future again.

In addition to the pros above, we very much enjoyed the daily updates from the ship's naturalist. by mrbrown

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was in good standing on cleanliness and what it had to offer. The crew was rude and non helpful especially the Customer Service desk. This was the next to last cruise that the Spirit will do in Alaska before heading to its new home in Australia and it showed. I know they have to deal with many people at once but you never let go your customer service priorities and be lifeless and non helpful in your dealings with the passengers. They also need to make sure their crew have a good handle on issues that arise and not give out inaccurate information.

Overall the ship was beautiful. by unun67123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall the ship was beautiful. It is decorated in a somewhat formal style, but at the same time felt comfortable. It was very well laid out and very clean (hand sanitizer at every corner!). The service, food, and facilities were all top notch.

Well done for most part. by KevinGleim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our favorite part was the full service dinners. We had Vimal, Paul and Caney serving us and they did a wonderful job. I also thought Tyson in the fitness area was very knowledgeable and helpful. The ship was kept clean and the staff were friendly. The self service Frog beer dispenser did not function properly or at all a couple of days. We ended up just going to one of the bars for the beer but would like to have been able to use the self service more.

Our First Cruise by BandBJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I celebrated 50th wedding anniversary with our daughter and son in law on a week long cruise she organized and also paid for as a gift to us....amazing children.  We absolutely had the best vacation ever....we were very impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the Glory.  The staff is excellent. Our cruise director Dustin was so much fun and our room steward Felix was the best.  The animal towels in our room was a sweet jesture. We especially liked our note on our mirror from Felix...he wrote Happy Anniversary !

Carnival Glory by harperlee2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

I think it would be great if balcony rooms were able to access the T.V. with portable dvd/laptops. After a few days of watching the same movies playing over and over is not good.

Excellent Chinese Service provided by Beibei and Chen by EricChen

My parents can't speak English and luckily there are Chinese assistants in casino, restaurant and spa. They really enjoyed their fun time in the ship.

Pleasantly Surprised by slsunshine2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was great. Boarding and disembarking was made simple. HappyThe crew was extremely friendly. The food selections were good. There was a variety of events to attend on board and enjoying ourselves in port was made easy. My one complaint is guest services on the last day of the cruise. They need to add an additional guest services area or more staff to handle the long lines at the end of a cruise.

Carnival Review by whitt09

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I love cruising with Carnival. The only thing I can say that needs improvement is the food. I'm not a big fan of the food they have on board. I mean I ate it so it wasn't awful, I just wish there were more choices.

Everything else about the cruise was amazing.

Big Smile

Great (but not perfect) vacation... by email4tim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall a very good experience.  Boarding was easier and quicker than expected (I had been dreading that process).  We did not have great weather, but enjoyed each of the ports of call.  Enjoyed good snorkeling excursions in St Thomas and Grand Turk.  Super enjoyed a free day of roaming "old town" in San Juan (including a nice break from ship food at local restaurants).  I really like this size ship...big enough to have all the amenities, but small enough that the crowds are not overwhelming.

Everything was great. Staff was outstanding and we were made to feel special. The only thing I would like to see done different is on the balcony room we had, I wish the chairs were setting up a little higher. the railing is right at eye level and blocks your view.

Big Smile

I thought the hospitality was great.  I had a lot of fun on my excursions as well.  The food was so so.  There was a lacking in food late at night.  All I could find was pizza and popcorn.  Overall I had fun!

Cruise to San Juan by he0525

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The overall cruise was very much needed and enjoyable. I enjoyed the people the food and the atmosphere of the cruise. The excursions were packed with very knowledgeable guides who made the various adventures worth the numerous trips. I did have one issue which occurred when I tried to explain some of the services paid for by me were not communicated to Carnival Cruise Company resulting in long conversations with the cruise staff at the guest services desk that should have been already taken care of prior to my departure and when the cruise was paid for. (I will discuss further with the cruise agent I booked the vacation with)

The cruise was in my eyes a success, however I do pray in the future that those items paid for and promised are better taken care of in advance.

Boring Ship by lashun514480

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Carnival Glory was not a very fun or lively ship. The only time there was music playing was during shows. There was no music playing when we visited the different ports at all. We actually listened and danced to another Carnival ship's music. The CD was a little boring to me as well. I will not sail on Carnival Glory again.

Carribean Sunshine by mrtonyl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

All the ports were amazing with something different to offer at each one. Shopping, beaches, sunshine or come back to the ship for more vacation fun and food. Dining on the ship is non stop if you desire. We were waited on and spoiled to no end. We will be cruising again on Carnival soon.
