Fantastic Cruise by wetznc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were first time Carnival Cruisers and were very pleased with everything. The entertainment was great. Dustin and his team had so much energy and made us feel so much at home. The food was great and the entertainment in the Golden Restaurant by the servers was the icing on the cake!!!!

Great Caribbean Cruise! by MHolly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise and it was excellent! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The cruise director, Dustin and assistant, Eden were very entertaining. The ship and our cabin was very clean. The food was pretty good. Our dinner waitress, Alicesyrup and her team were fantastic. We really enjoyed the onboard entertainment, particularly the adult comedy club. Our favorite comedian was Jason Blanchard. The ports of call were amazing. My only wish is that we had more time at each port for excursions plus being able to explore on our own. Overall, this cruise exceeded our expectations.

We spent our honeymoon on... by TheAllensSail

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory

We spent our honeymoon on Carnival Glory! It was our first cruise. But it won't be our last!!! We had the most fabulous time! The staff was amazing! Dustin kept the ship entertained along with his fun crew (Eden was awesome!). The food was delicious!!! The wait staff was super accommodating!!! (Pande made our meals special). Our steward, Gede, was the best! He even left us gifts for our honeymoon ( so did Dustin)!!! The towel animals were so fun... couldn't wait to see what we got the next day! I recommend the bamboo massage...soooo amazing!!! We slept like babies the whole trip!!! The cucumber sunrise at the Alchemy Bar is soooo refreshing, my new fav!!! I am very proned to motion sickness...so I will always be prepared but honestly I went most of the cruise without using anything, except during rough seas!!!! We're ready to book our next cruise way before we finished the first!!! Loved, loved, loved it!!! Happy cruising!!!

Not much of a family cruise. It's better for young, single people.

We really enjoyed everything about our cruise and were so happy with the ship and crew that we have already booked another cruise on the Carnival Glory in 2019 leaving out of New Orleans.

Absolutely loves this itinerary. Had... by KenThomsen

Ship: Carnival Glory

Absolutely loves this itinerary. Had an extra excursion when the heavens opened up on the tender on the way back to the ship in the caymans. Gumbabimba park was fun for the adults as well as the kids. The lamani ruins in Belize were great experience and the food at the end was very good. Cozumel was very beautiful, my 5 year old daughter was able to snorkel for her first time there. The ship was outstanding as well as the rock show. The kids club attendants were very receptive with my daughters allergies and accommodated her to the best of their abilities. Overall O would do this cruise again in a heartbeat. Love Carnival ships.

I Booked The Glory a 2nd Time for a Reason! by katattack30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My Eastern Caribbean experience on the Glory back in 2016 was so great, that I decided to book the Glory for a 2018 Western Caribbean cruise following a 2017 cruise on the newer Vista that I didn't enjoy as much. I have to say that returning to the Glory was an excellent decision and the service was as amazing as I remembered. Embarkation was efficient and seamless, apart from the outdoor muster drill they still have (the Vista does the muster drill indoors). Bar service was fast, friendly and personable; I recommend The Ivory Club for dinner or before dinner drinks and I recommend The Alchemy Bar/Tequila Bar/Red Frog Bars for all other drinks. However, I rarely had bad bar service and since I get the Cheers Package/Drink Package, that is very important to me. Even the bar service in the White Heat Club is fast and efficient; the White Heat Club itself was a great place for dancing and drinks during late night hours. I once again enjoyed the shows that I attended; comedy shows brought laughs and the musical theatre productions held my attention. Lido deck contests and shows were also a great thing to participate in. It is very much worth going to Breakfast and Brunch in the MDR as often as possible; those were the best meals that were included in my opinion. Although the breakfast buffet was enjoyable and the breakfast burritos were a good quick option, they just paled in comparison to that kind of breakfast experience. The lunch buffet was inconsistent but tasted hot and fresh and Guys Burgers were on point as always; I am not a fan of the lunch burritos at The Blue Iguana though. The service in the MDR for dinner was impeccable but the food was again, inconsistent; I highly recommend the Emerald Steakhouse for a few non-elegant nights because the difference in food quality made it worthwhile to me although the service was comparable. Overall, the biggest complaint I have about the ship is the inconsistent quality of the food and the fact that Guys Burgers seems to be the only worthwhile option at lunch most of the time. I even attempted to order a lobster roll for a $12 upcharge at lunch and was very disappointed in the flavor as well as the quantity of lobster offered. However, the service in all dining areas were good and when the food was good, it was great and brought a smile to my face. I would highly recommend the Emerald Steakhouse for dinner at least a few times during your cruise if you are a person that appreciates fine dining at all. The waterpark was a lot of fun and is a great thing to have on a mid size ship; you should check out the water slides if you enjoy water park activities at all. There was always water activities available on board and they have an adults only pool area that many of the newer ships do not have. If you enjoy milkshakes or coffees, they have great coffee drinks as well as milkshakes and you get service with a smile at Creams (a place I frequented often during the cruise). My cabin steward was attentive and very personable; my cabin steward was very forgettable on my Vista cruise in comparison. I would recommend this ship to anybody. The atmosphere is laid back like you would expect of Carnival but has the type of awesome service that you would expect of a more upscale cruise line, despite the inconsistent food from the included dining experiences.

Had a great time on... by CachingCruiser

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory

Had a great time on this ship. It was the first cruise of many for my wife and two kids (9 and 10). They loved it. Gave the kids free range of the ship and they always returned to where we asked, when we asked. Only down side, ship was definitely starting to show its age a bit.

Excellent cruise by Titlow3

We were treated so well on this cruise. The cleaning staff, the bar staff on the decks. Our server in the dining room seemed a little overwhelmed. But that’s understandable. We will always use Carnival for our cruises 🙌🏻

We just got off the... by long4825

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory

We just got off the beautiful Carnival Glory today. Our vacation was from September 1, 2018 until September 8, 2018. Getting on the ship was a breeze for us with faster to the fun. Once a board, ws immediately went to our room a d it was ready. We then explored the ship and took in lunch at Guys Burger Joint. It was really good. The staff was really friendly and eager to help us with getting around the ship and finding the action. We dinner every night in the Platinum Restaurant on deck 4. Our wait staff was awesome. Dandy took great care of us every night a d made sure our dinner was perfect and made suggestions for desserts. I have never experienced this level of customer service on a cruise ship before. She greeted us by name and always had a smile on her face. We also had a great time st all the other venues on the Glory as well. The ship was clean and neat at all times. We deviated off course on our 2 day aboard due to a medical emergency and it pushed our time in St.Thomas a bit but we still had fun and got a chance to see USVI at night. Overall the Carnival Glory is a must. Great staff, great food and great service.
