Review summary

I would have loved to stay in Honduras much longer, it was paradise. For a "family-friendly" cruise, there should not be thong or g-string bathing suits allowed. Sex in public places should not be tolerated for a "family-friendly" cruise, like at the serenity deck, pools, or hot tubs no matter the time of day/night. I could see these bathing suits for adult cruises, but not ones that have kids of all ages on there just my opinion.

Embarkation

Exactly how I pictured it to be

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was delicious! Only thing I wasn't expecting was they served the same thing for the breakfast buffet every day. There were a variety of cakes, desserts, and delicious food no matter where you ate for lunch and dinner. Melting chocolate cake was my favorite dish along with the salmon cakes in the golden restaurant. Had an absolute blast in the golden restaurant and looked forward to dining there.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Only activities I did on the ship were associated with the Art events and listening to the violinists and rock band. Pools, hot tubs, serenity decks were disgusting the last sea day due to adults defecating, peeing, or sexual activities in those areas. Pool had to be emptied numerous times and cleaned.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
DJ's, violinists, and rock band were outstanding!! Definitely need to look into different Country singers though. The Country singers didn't even know the words to most of the songs they sang and were an insult to country music. Sorry that is harsh, but it is what it is.

Children's Programs

Thankfully I did not bring my children with me on this cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing service and staff. Absolutely loved the art team!! They made being stuck on the ship on sea days worth it.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship design made it difficult to get to deck 3 from the aft of the ship if needed to go to the center or forward on the ship. Common areas were clean and well-maintained until the cruisers decided to completely trash the ship the last two days.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Dewa did a great job cleaning the cabin during our stay and left some neat looking towel animals for us. I was not prepared for the two single beds pushed together to create a full sized bed lol. That was not comfortable for my husband or I.

Ship tip

Stay clear of the Serenity deck the first day or two unless you want to see, hear, or be involved in sexual encounters. Or if you go up there, bring a couple towels to avoid being on the cushions.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Embarkation day and Debarkation day went smoothly both days.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Absolutely magical and wish I could stay at that paradise forever in Mahogany Bay. The most at peace and relaxed I have ever been in my entire life. Breathtaking beach and the water made it feel like you were weightless.

Belize City, Belize

I did not go to port, but I did the deep sea fishing excursion where you cook what you catch. Extremely fun, learned about the different types of fish from the captain and crew, and enjoyed an amazing private island with the perfect amount of people for the area. Great place to swim and pet the wild stingrays. Food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were phenomenal.

Cozumel, Mexico

The Island Beach Club was extremely disappointing. Drinks were extremely weak (this coming from someone that was 10 years sober and had 4 drinks the entire cruise to try). I ordered a mango margarita, the taste was amazing, but the last sip was the only tequila in the drink. The water is extremely choppy so would constantly push you into the sharp coral/rocks, overcrowded for the swimming area and was not just open to Carnival but other cruise lines as well. The swimming area consisted of maybe 30ft total for over 100 people, plus had the snorkeling, paddle board, and jet skis all in the swimming area as well. On a positive note, the service and food were great and it did have a swimming pool by the bar.

Disembarkation

I hated to say goodbye to the crew and art team, but was ready to go home. Super easy and quick!

That sounds horrible. Hopefully they crack down on that behavior. Thanks for sharing

This is terrible to hear. I just don't see how carnival will continue to exist if they can't reign in the debauchery. Thanks for the review.

Agree with the bathing suits!! Just wear a cover up in the dining areas!! I dont care what you wear at the pool but dont want to see all that while eating!! I didnt witness any sex in the serenity area. It was nice and serene

We’ve been on a few Carnival cruises, and I will admit you have to admire the confidence of some of the ladies on the ship, and their choices in swimming suits. 😲🫣 However, I have never witnessed on the serenity deck, what is being described here. I agree with javawoody, if you go and look at this person’s profile, something isn’t right.
