Review summary

It was a great cruise. I would recommend to anyone.

Embarkation

Quick and easy. Took 20 minutes from the time we parked to walking on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything I had was amazing. I tried every venue, and they delivered. The buffet was consistent and the main dining room delivered as well (although the portions are very small).

Emerald Room Steakhouse

5 out of 5

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Service was great and everything tasted amazing.

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

Great! Best burger at sea and on land.

Dining Room

4 out of 5

Most of everything was pretty good. The portions are small and it was very busy on some nights which made it take a long time.

BlueIguana Cantina

5 out of 5

Great as always.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I’m the type to just spend my time on the ship relaxing so I don’t need much to do. During the day, I spent my time relaxing on lido or on serenity. Plenty of chairs to go around. There are plenty of activities in the fun times for all ages and everything I did was fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All four comedians were great and super funny. The shows were good as usual even though we’ve seen each one 5+ times. Live music and DJ’s around the ship were great. And Mike the cruise director was amazing! No complaints!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff member I saw was more than happy to help and everyone had a smile on their face. Chatted with a few crew members about their time on board and I appreciate them so much.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It’s an older ship so the design, layout, and decor might seem a little dated but it was clean nonetheless. Would cruise this class ship again no doubt.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Simple interior room. Plenty of storage and it was kept clean by steward. I do recommend bringing a power strip because plug ins are limited on older ships.

Ship tip

Have fun and relax. Ask your steward for a fan if you get hot at night and bring a power strip.

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Our favorite port on the trip due to our excursion. It’s an industrial ship port that you dock at so there isn’t anything near the ship besides some shops and restaurants. I recommend doing an excursion or taking a taxi to banana bay. We took an excursion to Grand Lucayan national park to see some caves and the famous gold rock beach. Both of these were absolutely beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to information. After about an hour and a half there, they take you to banana bay restaurant and beach. The food here is delicious! The staff was super friendly and the facilities were clean. The beach was so pretty and I would love to visit here again.

Key West, Florida

Beautiful place. We walked the streets to the main attractions. Duval street had plenty to eat, see, and do. We then walked down to fort Zachary Taylor which is about a 20 minute walk from the ship($3 entry). It’s a neat place with some pretty cool history. They also have a beach connected to it with chairs and umbrellas to rent ($30 for both). We spent a few hours here relaxing and enjoying the views before we headed back to the ship. They do have a food shack on the beach but the prices are ridiculous so I don’t recommend buying anything. Overall it’s a great port with many things to do and I would visit again.

Nassau, Bahamas

Great and beautiful port. We took a boat to pearl island. This island had great food and activities for all. Super pretty beach as well. Nassau has a ton to offer and a lot to see. I could see myself vacationing here for a week.

New Orleans, Louisiana

4 out of 5
Not the prettiest place to sail out of but it’s a very neat city with diverse culture. Don’t stay out too late at night.

Disembarkation

We were the first to get off being platinum members and it was a little slower than usual but once off the ship customs was pretty efficient.
