Review summary

Everything was just great-the crew and ship are just outstanding...and on Friday morning, I tested positive for Covid! I'm vaccinated, etc, but the on board doctor said the booster is really important to guard against variants. I was isolated in a very comfortable ocean view room and allowed to order my heart's content from the room service and MDR menus. Carnival also said they would credit the last two days as a future cruise credit. Even though I was very disappointed, I think Carnival did a good job with the situation.

Embarkation

We parked in the port garage, and took the elevator down to the terminal. Easy! Also, if you are a disabled vet and bring proof of over 50%, your parking is free!

Food and Dining

We very much enjoyed the MDR, and the buffet. Guy's Burgers was really good too. We also did the Chef's Table and LOVED it!

Onboard Activities

We loved our balcony, and the jacuzzis were just fine. I used the steam room and the sauna, while my wife got a facial.

Entertainment

We did the piano bar three times. K'mar was excellent. The shows were good, etc. The cruise director was MUCH better than the guy there in March.

Service and Staff

Svetlana in the MDR was just great and very thoughtful. Our room steward on Panorama deck was Rommel, and he was very cheerful and efficient.

Clean doesn't really cover it. It was spotless. We had no problem getting around.

Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of room and very comfortable. Our granddaughter slept on the sofa bed and was fine.

Ship tip

Remember that if you have anytime dining, you use the glass elevators to get there!

To respond to the questions-I went to the onboard clinic because I was concerned about my asthma flaring. My symptoms were very mild.

We just got off of The Glory two weeks ago. We had a blast! We're you exposed to someone that tested positive? Or did you feel bad? I'm just wondering why you got tested. Just curious. I didn't hear of anyone being tested on the cruise that I was on. I was partaking of the alcoholic beverages, so if people were being tested I was definitely oblivious! Lol!

Thank you for sharing your review. I am sorry you got Covid. After going on our first cruise in 6 years on 5/1/22. I am more motivated to stay up to date on any booster that is required or improves my chances to test negative and be able to cruise. I hope your symptoms were mild and that you can look forward to your next cruise.

Sorry about your Virus outbreak. We were on the same Cruise in March, I agree about the CD, not very good. Mark one of the staff was fantastic and would make a great CD. Loved the Glory & NOLA!
