Carnival Glory's Western Caribbean Cruise did not disappoint! It was 5 days of relaxation, adventure, and great food! Cozumel and Progresso were incredible, and the staff worked tirelessly to make sure that everyone on board had a wonderful time!
Embarkation

Embarkation went incredibly quick! They kept us moving, and we were on the ship within an hour of arriving to the port.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was great! Very consistent with what we have come to know and love from Carnival. Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana were fresh and so, so good as well. After all, no Carnival cruise is complete without a burger by the pool! The steakhouse onboard was such a wonderful and relaxing experience. The surf and turf was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake was huge and delicious! We were a little disappointed that formal night didn't offer lobster or steak as an option in the main dining room, but the food was still fantastic.
Emerald Room Steakhouse
5 out of 5
Fantastic experience! We dined in the steakhouse the first night of our sailing, so we received a complimentary bottle of wine for the table, which is such a nice perk! The service was incredible, and the food was decadent and beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Carnival Glory does offer a few pools which is great, but they were always so crowded on sea days that we could hardly ever get in. The Serenity deck was lovely, and offered a range of seating including clam shells, loungers, couches, and stools at the bar. This being said, on the days at sea you were hard pressed to find an open lounger there. Carnival Glory has WaterWorks, and it looks like a bunch of kids were really enjoying the slides, but my husband and I never tried them. The spa was wonderful, and our couples massage was fantastic! If you can, try to book your service on a port day so that you can take advantage of their discounts, otherwise you will spend quite a bit on a massage.
Spa Carnival
4 out of 5
Carnival spa does a great job of making sure you are completely relaxed. The prices on sea days can get a little ridiculous (way more than what you would spend for services at a spa on land), but it's definitely a treat! The one critique I have is that they always try to sell you products and additional services at the end of your service which is kind of annoying.
Entertainment

Yikes. The shows were really, really tacky. We went to a few of them, and found ourselves sneaking out halfway through. They have movies under the stars which is fun! Make sure to pack a sweatshirt though because the pool deck can get cool at night!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward and waiters were incredible as always!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
They always do a fantastic job of keeping everything clean on Carnival, which is great! The decor of some spaces on the ship are a bit tacky and over the top in our opinion, but to each their own!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a balcony cabin and loved it! It was so fun being able to sit on our balcony as we sailed out on the Mississippi. The cabin was spacious and clean.
Very vibrant! We stayed in the French Quarter the night before our cruise. Know that it will be loud and full of partying. If you're going to spend some time there, try to stop by Cafe Du Monde for a beignet- fresh, hot, and delicious!
We went on the Three Reef Snorkel excursion through Carnival. The waves happened to be super choppy the day that we were there, which made the snorkeling a bit difficult at times, but it was still great to be out in the water! After, we stopped by Three Amigos restaurant. The service there was great! My husband and I ordered some nachos and my husband had a tequila sunrise with ice and I drank bottled water. I can't say that there was any connection, but the next day he became really, really sick. I was totally fine but I didn't have anything with ice. Again, there might not be any connection, but word of warning to maybe watch what you drink.
We visited Chichen Itza through Carnival excursions. Great experience! Know you will be driving for about 4 hours that day, but the bus is cool, comfortable, and has a bathroom. The guides were INCREDIBLE. Super informative, interesting, and funny. It's a great time to see some of the Yucatan as you pass through towns on your way to Chichen Itza. Shortly before arriving to Chichen Itza you arrive in a town called Piste to use some very nice bathrooms, grab a sack lunch, and do some shopping if you wish. While at Chichen Itza you are able to see a few of the most popular sites. The actual grounds are huge, so know that you will not come close to seeing all that it has to offer while on your tour. This being said, what you do see is incredible, and the guides provide great insight.
Carnival does a great job of streamlining the disembarkation process. You pick your general time window based on the luggage tags you choose (early or late), and the process was organized and painless.
